Did anyone else see if Justin Timberlake pulled off Janet Jackson's top?

But from what I understand we need to contact the NFL.

Not really. MTV produced and ran the show. P. Diddy and Nelly are not the types I want to see on a half time show.

I will say that I am calling to cancel NFL Sunday Ticket on my satellite dish tomorrow for next season. It may not mean anything to them, not sure if there are enough freepers to get something going, doing this as an attempt to send a message. to be honest, its too expensive anyway and this is a good opportunity to cancel my subscription and maybe send a message.

maybe someone could start a "cancel your NFL Sunday Ticket" thread...

P.Diddy (stoner)-> Nelly (stoner)-> Justin Timberlake (stoner) -> Janet Jackson -> Kid Rock (major stoner) -......

Well here is a little tidbit for you. This week the band Aerosmith was at Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston. They filmed part of the opening you saw when the "Super (not) Bowl" started today. Showing them at JSC in suits and also using the ISS and Shuttle mockups, etc. Here's what I was told. They were "caught" having a cocaine "party" at JSC during all of this. Aerosmith band members were snorting cocaine. And not really much caring who happened to see them from what I understand. NASA employees that witnessed this were outraged. One I know said that they should have all been arrested but NASA treated them like royalty. And turned a blind eye to what occurred.

Heck, at least Kid Rock actually performed live, which is more than I can say for any of the other "artists."

I know - the horse passing wind ad was the bellweather of the evening - I started flipping after that - but it went from bad to worse, and after Janet's breast I decided FR was more interesting than the superbowl.

There really does HAVE TO be a fine levied. There HAS to be. I know we aren't the only parents/grandparents upset about this.

I just bet the Whitehouse is getting some phone calls too.

This is so outrageous, and so sickening.

I also find it wierd that a Jackson is involved. Especially in light of the abuse allegations going on regarding another Jackson. You'd think they would have thought this out a bit. But they just don't care.. do they!

unfortunately, CBS is untouchable, as is the rest of the US major media.

,,, apathy dictates that. A class action suit on grounds that go against family values etc. could do it.

Be sure to write the NFL and the FCC. The NFL hired MTV to do the halftime show, they knew what they were getting.

Staged and tasteless.

Let's hear TV complain again about how young men are disrespecting women.

Whoever planned this stupidity should be relegated to producing the next grand opening at Walmart.

NFL statement on the halftime show....

Statement regarding the Super Bowl halftime show

Statement by NFL Executive Vice President Joe Browne regarding the Super Bowl halftime show:

"We were extremely disappointed by elements of the MTV-produced Halftime show. They were totally inconsistent with assurances our office was given about the show. It's unlikely that MTV will produce another Super Bowl halftime."

Thanks (sorta) for the pic. Even though I can see clearly that her nipple was covered (plausible deniabilty for CBS?) during the show my son did not see it in such clarity.

In his mind he saw JJ's boob after Justin Timberlake grabbed at her breast and pulled off her shirt. It will be the talk of the 12 year old hormones at school tomorrow and no matter how we as parents address it, some kid has gotten the message that this is acceptable behavior. After all, it was on the Super Bowl.

Perhaps when nameless kid pulls the same stunt at school, his parents can name CBS in a lawsuit for endorsing this type of behavior.

Lightbulb! Maybe John Edwards can take the case--protect the children! Yeah, that's the ticket!

FWIW and IMHO, if you really want to apply some heat call up and raise Heck with your local CBS affiliate. They're in a lot better position to raise Cain with the nets than John Q. Citizen. Without local affiliates a broadcast net is screwed. Make the locals feel some heat and the affiliates might give CBS a hotfoot.
