I reread your post (I'm cubicle bound so I can't always catch what's being said the first time around.). No, I haven't seen the videos. I have no desire to. I just hope and pray none of my grandchildren do, either. It's a shame we've sunk this low, isn't it?

Yes, I would rather have had Clay Aiken, gee. That is one reason I was glad American Idol was a success, it was corny, but there was no grinding or imitated sex acts. Just a bunch of kids trying to get a break. Can you imagine Frank Sinatra or even Elvis doing that, Elvis would never had done that, I mean he got pretty crazy, but he knew his audience. Gee whiz, what do these entertainers think we are a bunch of sex crazed deviants whose only purpose in life is to watch a bunch of so called singers grinding and hunching. That all we think about is sex, sex, and more sex. And while we are on the subject what's the deal with these sex commercials on talk radio. Incite (sp) male enhancement, now there's one for women that will increase her desire. Give me a break. Oh they are bad,bad,bad.....

It's a matter of decency on television and the slippery slope we're on right now. It can only get worse unless we speak up.I agree. The FCC is has let this go on for way to long. Someone posted this website before, and I think it bears repeating. www.parentstv.org There's a very interesting article about the FCC there.
My kids are grown, but I hope to have grandchildren someday. I don't want to see our country continue on this downhill slide. We all need to start speaking out.

I wouldn't care if I never saw a football game. Sports isn't what it used to be. Now it's all money, money, money. TV has corrupted this country, unfortunately, in so many ways. I wholeheartedly agree. It has turned us into brainless, indifferent, undiscrimating fat slugs, so hypnotized that our president getting knee-pad service under his desk while ordering up a designer war to get our kids killed in didn't result in the instant death of the the democratic party that instigated it, and the republican party that tolerated it. The Roman circus was a socially hygenic dream compared to this.
Too bad. It could be used as a force for good.
I doubt it. See Jerry Manders "Four arguments for the Elimination of Television"

I read once where they spoke about the way the world was before color tv, the black and white days. It was funny but very eye opening as well. It's come a long way, baby. Unfortunately, the direction is down, not up.

It will only stop if we speak up. Americans, especially those with good moral standards, have been silent for far too long. We need to let them know what's appropriate and what isn't.
I see Jackson got pulled of the CBS awards show. They aren't allowing her to present an award. Good start.

It breaks my heart to see where American has gone from the time I was growing up in the 40's and 50's. Yes, sin has always abounded but we weren't socked in the eye with it every day on television. TV had good standards then. It has few now. Time to speak up and let the FCC know how we feel about programming and dirty words, etc.

It is not only the programs but the commercials. Mind me I don't mind something racy, but I don't want to be exposed to it 24/7. It is either gays or sex. The halftime show was terrible. I heard this morning Jackson's outfit came from a S&M shop. That just shows you the message she wanted to send. And the other so called entertainers thumbs down.

Ya know screw off there commericals that is all nothing and the commericals appear to have worked because they have gotten your attention. The superbowl shows are usually bad and this one was good so it worked and beside there are way worrier things out there. I understand gays yes we should but all the queers on an island and let them live there not lesbians though.
I watch WWE wrestling and it is funny and it has been refered as a family friendly show but like has 2 weeks ago a female wrestler exposed her tits twice on on perpose and the other accidental it was on TV but know cares.
