Well, I looked at the thing on Drudge after seeing all this talk about it. I'm no expert on body jewelry, but there is definitely a thing that you can wear without piercing that looks like that - it just sort of surrounds part and stays on through tension. Maybe it is a piercing, maybe not.

Well .. any network that would allow a hit piece on Reagan .. what do people expect.

I hate to bring this up, but Reagan was responsible for the trashing of the National Decency Standard for TV, through de-regulation.

One thing to consider regarding the "ahem" "exposure incident", the networks usually introduce a delay usually 10 to 30 seconds in their live programming to catch "accidents" and incidents like this. The fact that CBS did not quickly edit the shot says volumes. They certainly were able to "screen out" the streaker.

But the streaker had a gambling website adress written on his naked body. CBS wasn't offended by the nudity, it was offended by somebody trying to get free advertising on their biggest ad-sale event!

As for the rest of the show, you're on target about P Diddy; he was another disgrace. The whole thing was horrible, and not just for its x-rated content. What would be really shocking is if any of these so-called performers actually sang instead of lip-synched!
