Would you stay married if your partner was cheating on you?
I found out my partner is cheating on me! These darn questions keep coming into my brain. What do I do now? I need help making a decision and I need it now!
- Should I run to the nearest divorce attorney and demand satisfaction?
- Or is my partner so important in my life that I should allow this to continue without saying a word?"
- Should I continue to pay all the bills and keep giving out lots of my hard earned money when it goes to further something I hate?
- What did I do that was wrong? I've said out loud to everyone willing to listen that I'm in love, yet my partner bows to the wishes of another man after all?
When I look at the White House and the domestic policies coming from our President, I feel that my vote was used by a man who doesn't love what I love, The United States Of America.
How can he refuse to prosecute criminals that have violated our laws. Do our immigrations laws mean nothing to the man I helped put in the White House? Isn't this aiding and abetting criminals? How can this be considered fulfilling his Oath of Office?
I have supported the Republican Party for 35 years. I voted for our President during the last election because he was a Republican. Henry Lamb is saying, "Stick With President Bush In November".
I ask why should I? What has he done for the American people, inside our borders? He says, "I signed the prescription drug program, (which will cost our senior citizens more money, instead of less for their medical drugs) and the Patriot Act". Well, take a look at this website and see what the MATRIX Program will do for the American citizen who has never been charged or even suspected of a crime. Go ahead, don't be scared. Be informed. After you read about the programs, think what this will do for your "individual freedom".
He has signed more bills helping illegal aliens than he has American citizens. He has done a very poor job with the guardianship of our Southern borders. People are feeling vulnerable and frightened about the invasion of Mexican citizens who have no allegiance to America except for financial gain. He wants their children to go to our colleges without paying the same rates you and I would.
He approves of giving these criminals our taxes to buy new homes for their families. He approves of building new schools for their children, paying their medical bills at our hospitals, giving them blue, pink or green and whatever cards to enable them to become American citizens. These identification cards would grant them all the rights of citizenship without having to join our military forces or serve on our juries, not that I would want them to!
The U.S. Border Patrol has a heavy leash around it's neck that he refuses to remove. They are purposely under budgeted and understaffed to the point where they cannot do 50% of their job properly. The criminals continue to come across our borders EVERY NIGHT at ever increasing numbers with their hands out for our money, our jobs, our free schools and the eventual destruction of our culture.
Yes, I it has got to the point where I am going to make an appointment with the divorce attorney. It's time for me to rid myself of a partner who is cheating on me and my children. Your Honor, President Fox is more of a pimp than a friend to our country, to the American people and our President. He demands our President manipulate the American people, giving them our money and and land, orders which our President is actually obeying!
Your Honor, As I stand here under the American flag, I am requesting that you to grant me a divorce from the Republican Party, and our President. I am refusing to be a prostitute for the Mexican people any longer. I am refusing to give them my freedoms and my liberty which I have earned. This request is based upon this testimony and the hundreds of documents I have previously provided this your court.

Seems to me a better analogy for the Federal Government would be more of a Rapist than a Lover... If you dont "put out" to the Feds you are threatened with violence and imprisonment, with some one you love there is no threats.

My advice: Don't drink before writing vanity posts. It may have sounded clever and profound, but it isn't.

So you're gonna divorce George and go sleep around with Lurch? OK.
How about divorcing the lout, and remaining celibate until a reliable, man who can be faithful to his vows comes along?

Here's the deal...When a woman cheats, she's longing for emotional closeness. When a man cheats, he's longing for physical closeness. When a woman gets to the point of cheating, it can be dangerous because that means she's bonded "emotionally" with that person enough to want to sleep with them. That is more difficult to get over. When men cheat, they may love their wives, but seek more physical pleasure outside the marriage. They don't have to bond with the one they are cheating on. So....the marriage can be reconciled when the man stops cheating but it rarely happens the other way around because the woman has already severed the emotional bond with the husband in order to open herself up emotionally to someone else.
In your case, the marriage was most likely in trouble even before she cheated. There was some emotional needs that weren't getting met that forced her to look outside the home. That is where you need to look at what mistakes you have made. Maybe if you realize some of the nurturing, caring, cherishing, adoring, emotional support that your wife might have needed that you failed to see can be turned around, she might give you another chance.
The fact is, no one can change anyone...but everyone can change themselves. If there is a transition in you, things might work out...But...she may be a woman who because of her bad childhood or lack of morals, your being who you are or changing won't help.
Say a prayer and hope for the best....

Oh, I thought this was something serious.
I did too at first. Post 12 tipped me off and the lightbulb went off in my head. :)

This will sober up the Bush is too liberal crowd real fast:)
Here are the issues where critics accuse John Kerry of being too liberal to win:
1. Against the death penalty in almost all cases.
2. Voted many times against tax cuts.
3. Supported killing military programs, including the B-1 and B-2 bombers.
4. Voted against banning "partial-birth" abortions and against parental notification when minors have abortions.
5. Voted against Defense of Marriage Act, which permits states to refuse to recognize gay marriages in other states.
6. Voted against the 1991 Gulf War.
7. Voted against $87 billion to support U.S. troops and rebuild Iraq.
8. Called for taxing guns and ammunition to pay for anti-crime programs.
9. Pushed to cut CIA funding - then griped about poor intelligence after 9/11.
10. Supported furloughs for first-degree murderers.

I would give that woman one more chance, and subject her activities to additional scrutiny.
Everyone deserves ONE second chance.

Prescient. ;-)
Observe a few other threads on the forum this afternoon and note who is doing what to whom.
Very telling.

Argh. You got me. I read the headline, not the article.
You suck. You get no second chance.
To: B4Ranch
Interesting question. Am I better off with or without him? What are the alternatives? Kerry? Dean? 3rd Party Spoiler?
Stay married because the alternative sucks, but when he wants sex, tell him he is on his own.
Lesson learned: no one is going to look after you better than you. We have been rather complacent (as a whole) demanding the attention we deserve.
