Vitter (R) Leads Senate Race; Statistical Tie For Second (LA)

A recent poll by Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates Inc. shows Republican David Vitter leading the race for US Senate with his Democratic rivals Chris John and John Kennedy tied for second place. Vitter has 34 percent, John has 16 percent and Kennedy has 15 percent. Democrat Jim Bernhard polled 4 percent, and 31 percent of voters were undecided. The poll of 502 likely voters was conducted from Jan. 22-24. It's margin of error is +/-4.4 percent. The poll was commissioned by the Kennedy Campaign.

Long way to go on this one.

Vitter had better see to it that he gets as close to 50%+1 as he can on primary day, because the Democrats seem to have a way of bringing their, uh, "base" out for the runoffs.

Sorry. I have zero faith in Louisiana. You guys miffed electing first a perfectly good Senator and then a perfectly good Governor. Enjoy having Rats as ur elected officials!

Yeah.

They don't bury people above ground for nothing down there. It makes it easier getting them to the polls.

Actually, I think Kennedy has cut John's numbers in half. In a previous poll taken without Kennedy, John was a few points above Vitter.

Wow. It's great to see Vitter has an ititial lead. That's something Terrel and Jindal didn't have.
