He has NOT be " silent " on the Zimbabwe problem and IF you had read the AFRICA WATCH threads, you would know that. Did he take any action? These people are the ones who should get amnesty, not illegal aliens from Mexico.

Did you read those memos?? Guess I was not CC'd on those...

Why am I not surprised that you were flamed??
The blood of brave Americans was spilled to give us, and to allow us to keep the right to vote.
Staying home in a snit because you don't personally like the policies of the better candidate, is IMO, diminishing the lives of those who died to give us that right.

Were the Constitution party viable, I might be right there with you, but it is not. I am a pragmatist. You're a dreamer. Your principled votes are nothing more than masturbatory, whereas mine, attempt to keep democrats out of office.

I personally think economics is more important in the long run as national security can be ramped up and down in fairly short order. You said that sarcastically, right? RIGHT?

Well, despite some people losing their heads around here, I suspect it will be a landslide for Bush. I think most Americans are dog tired of the foulmouthed, America hating Democrats and their filthy corruption. They're even getting fed up with it here in California. I believe when the Bush campaign gets underway, it's gonna steam right over whichever inept Democrat gets the nod. Go Dean! Go Hillary!!

I meant for President. Sorry for the ambiguity.
If Dubya wins the Republican nomination fairly, then he represents the Republican party. It may or may not be fair to call him a CINO, but it's ridiculous to call him a RINO.

Sitting out the election, and not exercising your right to vote is, IMO, being a lousy American. And let me add, sitting out the election also means you have no right to bitch and complain when you don't like policy or things don't go your way... because YOU CHOSE NOT TO BE HEARD WHEN IT MATTERED.
Complacency is the fastest road to extinction.

I don't disagree with that -- I just wanted to set the facts straight after Drudge went over the cliff last night without having the correct facts.

As I said you do not understand that this isn't done on judicial nominees. I think you are the one confused here. As I have said, even a Dem will have to work with the Reps to get a nominee passed. I don't trust Dubya not to cave in and nominate a swing vote candidate like O'Connor just to fill a SCOTUS position.

33% you say..... were did you get that number?
First lady Laura Bush made Thursday's announcement, saying the president would ask Congress next week for an $18 million increase for the NEA,
a 15 percent hike over last year. The GOP-controlled Congress increased the agency's funding to $122.5 million last year, up from $115.7 million. That's still well below the $175 million it received in 1992.

It may or may not be fair to call him a CINO, but it's ridiculous to call him a RINO.Yep. All conservatives are not Republicans, and all Republicans are not conservative, according to the 'real' conservatives- whoever they are.

Guess what? This thread is not about you. I'll not reply to you again so have it at; have the last word. I never said it was about me. Honestly, I don't understand why you seem more interested in fighting than in carrying on a reasonable conversation.
You troll this thread like your the nanny police. All anyone has to do is read your comments on this thread alone to see that you consider yourself in charge of policing everyone else's thoughts and comments.
The Lead Moderator has been going around encouraging folks to self police threads in search of a greater level of civility. That's all I'm attempting here - if you disagree with that policy perhaps you should address your concerns to the mod.
I have pinged three who can attest to your ugliness.
PKM - are you attesting to my ugliness?
To: Nanodik
I personally think economics is more important in the long run as national security can be ramped up and down in fairly short order. At what cost in blood and treasure? Do you understand how absurd this statement is?
To: MEG33
Your tagline is not funny,Laz.It would be better if you prayed for President Bush ,that he be guided to act wisely and for the good of our nation. It's meant to poke a little fun at the people who are a little too seduced by the Cult of Personality.
If it makes them check their motives, that's good.
