Will Bush solve the illegal immigration problem? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.

Will Bush defend America from those bent on destroying her? You'd better bet your sweet bippy he will.
Will any of the Democrats defend America? Hell no they won't. They'd rather turn us over to the U.N. They'd surrender to the French Foreign Legion if given the chance.
Will Bush appoint conservative judges? Yup!
Will Kerry, Edwards, Clark, Hillary, et al, appoint conservative judges? Yeah, right. And hell will freeze over tomorrow.
Will Bush continue reducing taxes? Yup.
Will Kerry, Edwards, Clark, Hillary, et al, raise your taxes as soon as they possibly can if given the opportunity and continue raising them until hell freezes over? Yup.

Will Kerry, Edwards, Clark, Hillary, et al, remove our national sovereignty and subjugate America to world government? Just as quickly as they possibly can if given the opportunity.
Will any other person be elected to the Presidency in 2004 other than Bush (God willing) or a Democrat? Obviously not.
Doesn't make a lick of sense to me to allow the America hating, freedom hating Democrats back into power now that we've kicked them out.
Say yes to sovereignty for America and continued freedom for all Americans.
Say no to the RATS!!
Barbara Hafer was the only Republican I didn't vote for in 2000 (Pennsylvania). Am I a RINO?
True freedom is not having to have everything in your life controlled by a dominant federal government. As far as I can tell, both parties want one thing more than any other: power.
In all seriousness, I would love to hear what freedom means to you. Go ahead and give it a shot. Also, what do you think our founding fathers would think about our current state?(especially George Washington and Thomas Jefferson)
That is 20% too much. It should be going down 5% a year until it's gone.
Rove is a trusted advisor, but the President is in charge.
There's no way that he would make a calculated effort to lose conservative votes.
I know that you don't trust that the President is an honorable man, but I believe he is doing what he believes is right, regardless of the political cost.
Not saying he doesn't factor in votes in his decisions......he's a very good politician. But the bottom line is that he does what he believes in.
And IMO, that deserves respect even when you disagree.
The Bush machine may be back firing and runnin on low tires with cross eyed headlights but hes runnin... like an antique Ford (TRUE) but hes not a Yugo(democrat) up on blocks...
Anybody that don't see they have no real choice but to vote for Bush.. needs to walk home barefoot..
I haven't said he's a liberal myself, so I can't imagine why you'd think I'm baiting you. IMO, his foreign policy has been conservative while his domestic policy is straight down the center. Neither liberal nor conservative in the aggregate; I'd call him a political moderate.
Back to my original question, I wonder why you'd expect his policy positions to change substantially as he moves into a second term. I believe we'll continue to see the same mixed bag as in the first term - some very hopeful bright spots followed by some real lowlights. But a significant lurch to the right? I doubt it...you mentioned you feel differently though, and I'm genuinely interested in learning why.
Did you read those memos??
IMO, Clinton was the best thing to happen to conservatives and to the conservative movement. If Bush I would've won reelection we'd still be on a slippery, complacent slope (plus there'd be no FR, no NewsMax, no Drudge :-)
OK, the author may have a difference of opinion with me with regards to a Dem president, but if I read your post correctly, his focus was national security. I personally think economics is more important in the long run as national security can be ramped up and down in fairly short order. Besides, what Prez, be it Dem or Rep would want to shoulder the blame for a terrorist attack on the US? This alone should be enough to keep a Prez vigilant. The problem with the fiscal side however is that the damage Bush is doing today will not be felt until years down the road, long after he has left office. Knowing this, he is doing damage with impunity and when the time comes to pay the bill, it will be whatever poor schmuck is in office to be the bearer of bad news.
