As I said you do not understand that this isn't done on judicial nominees.You can't adjust,add to or change a nominee like you can a bill and compromise.

It's a solid Dem move to please their base.They approved a lot of judges,decided they would not allow others and have held their ground.

I think you are the one confused here. As I have said, even a Dem will have to work with the Reps to get a nominee passed. I don't trust Dubya not to cave in and nominate a swing vote candidate like O'Connor just to fill a SCOTUS position.
