Will Bush solve the illegal immigration problem? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.
Will Bush solve the government spending problem? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.
Will Bush solve the campaign finance problem? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.
Will Bush solve the drug war problem? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.
Will Bush solve the nation's education problems? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.
Will Bush solve the so-called healthcare problems? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.
Will Bush solve the so-called environmental problems? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.
Will Bush solve the social security problems? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.
Will Bush solve the medicare problems? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.
Will Bush defend America from those bent on destroying her? You'd better bet your sweet bippy he will.
Will any of the Democrats defend America? Hell no they won't. They'd rather turn us over to the U.N. They'd surrender to the French Foreign Legion if given the chance.
Will Bush appoint conservative judges? Yup!
Will Kerry, Edwards, Clark, Hillary, et al, appoint conservative judges? Yeah, right. And hell will freeze over tomorrow.
Will Bush continue reducing taxes? Yup.
Will Kerry, Edwards, Clark, Hillary, et al, raise your taxes as soon as they possibly can if given the opportunity and continue raising them until hell freezes over? Yup.
Will Bush defend the right to life? Check
Will Bush defend marriage between a man a woman? Check
Will Bush defend the right to keep and bear arms? Check
Will Bush say no to Kyoto? Check.
Will Bush say no to a world court? Check.
Will Bush say no to the U.N.? Check.
Will Kerry, Edwards, Clark, Hillary, et al, remove our national sovereignty and subjugate America to world government? Just as quickly as they possibly can if given the opportunity.
Will any other person be elected to the Presidency in 2004 other than Bush (God willing) or a Democrat? Obviously not.
Doesn't make a lick of sense to me to allow the America hating, freedom hating Democrats back into power now that we've kicked them out.
Say yes to sovereignty for America and continued freedom for all Americans.
Say no to the RATS!!

Maybe this was posted somewhere in the 1200 replies but I say vote for Bush and then hold his and your congress/senate-critter's feet to the fire for a true conservative agenda. I am not happy with the direction federal government is taking but sometimes you have to accept the lesser of two evils or you just get even more evil.
My biggest conern these days is to stop the erosion of civil liberties via judicial caveat and the concept of a "living Constitution." We need Pubbies in the White House and Senate to stop this. If the Republicans need to settle in-house policy disputes, and I don't doubt they do, let's wait until after the elections. Again, I say this not because I'm happy with the status quo but because I don't think it's wise to throw a cinderblock to a drowning man.

Will Bush solve the illegal immigration problem? Not only will Bush not defend our borders against the Mexican invasion, he wants to give amnesty to illegals already here.
Will Bush solve the government spending problem? Probably not.
You're right - he'll prove to be a more successful socialist than Clinton.
Will Bush solve the campaign finance problem? Probably not.
Right again, he'll betray conservatives by signing legislation opposed by conservatives.
Will Bush solve the drug war problem? Probably not.
No and he'll use the federal government to step all over the tenth amendment.
Will Bush solve the nation's education problems?
No, but he'll add to the problem with increased spending and continue Title IX.
Will Bush solve the so-called healthcare problems? Probably not.
No, but he'll add to the problem with increased spending.
Will Bush solve the so-called environmental problems? Probably not.
Right, if only he fought as hard for Klamath Falls, OR as he does for Mexico.
Will Bush solve the social security problems?
I doubt he'll do anything of significance.
Will Bush solve the medicare problems? Probably not.
No, but he'll add to the insolvency by creating an even bigger entitlement program.
Will Bush defend America from those bent on destroying her?
He sure won't protect OUR borders.
Will Bush appoint conservative judges?
And when they don't get an up or down vote, he'll do nothing. If only he fought as hard for conservative judges as he does for Presidente Fox.
Will Bush continue reducing taxes?
Post dated how far into the future?
Will Bush defend the right to life?
Okay, conservatives, here's a bone for you as I break a promise I made on stem cell research on cells from embryos.
Will Bush defend marriage between a man a woman?
We'll see.
Will Bush defend the right to keep and bear arms?
Including the assault weapons ban?
Will Bush say no to Kyoto?
So? Bush has done nothing to KILL Kyoto - it merely lies dormant waiting for a willing congress and a sympathetic President.
Will Bush say no to a world court?
Again, Bush has done nothing to KILL a world court and the trial of Saddam may lead to one.
Will Bush say no to the U.N.?
This is the most laughable of all assertions. The war on Iraq has been ALL about resuscitating the UN. Reagan got the US out of UNESCO, Bush has rejoined UNESCO (Relevent quotes betraying the Bush allegience to the UN.

Thanks fer the link...maybe Dubyuh's finally coming to the realization that outta-control spending is not acceptable to those of us who want him to serve a second term!!
Mud,I can't help but think this was the plan all along. Force some issues, make people work .Now,I know for some he's not "right" enough, but, thus far, he is surely keeping the bad guys out,and that's right enough for me. I have to wonder what Monday brings? For me it'll be radio and then a hell of a lot of airplanes leaving Houston. Hey GWB, what thinketh you ?

I think I'd listen to Rush. I think he'll be devoting some time to this spending and the prez's speech on Saturday.
Brace yourself. Rush might resort to some mild sarcarsm.
You really can't blame him. Like a lot of others, he's confronted with evidence that Our Guys are starting to spend money and nanny us like The Other Guys once did to us.

I wanted to return to these points separately.
A fixation on personality (our current president) is the most certain way to lose our real battle for conservative and constitutional principle over the long run.
When Reagan left office, Bush 41 was a disappointment. We tried to morph him into something he was not. So after a term, he had to be discarded by conservatives. This lead to Clinton (bad, bad, bad) but in turn led gun rights activists and conservatives to elect the Gingrich congress in '94 (good, good, good).
Fast-forward past a few stained dresses and an impeachment and the Dims are left with the same problem we had with Reagan: they are focused on Clintonism, the personality and a longing for that era where they felt more powerful.
And Bush 43 is somewhat the same thing. There's a true personality cult here at FR devoted to him. And when he's gone, their emotional investment cannot be fulfilled by someone else. So they will become politically ineffective, having marched off into a wilderness over personality.
Remaining focused on principle is the key. Ignoring words and evaluating actions, not party affiliation or personality is the method.
So it is principle that counts and that will win or lose for us. Any temporary gains we may get from an obsessive focus on a particular personality contains the seed of our own later defeats.
Watch the money and the votes, not the words. Focus on principle, not personality.
For conservatives and constitutionalists to win, this must be our strategy.
Like it or not, Bush 43 will someday be gone. On that day, if we don't have principles and still have the will to fight, we'll have nothing and will be easy meat for the mindless Lefties.

Like it or not, Bush 43 will someday be gone
GWB, I know this, all too well. I also don't indulge in personality cults, that's for the Keyesians and Brigadiers, not to mention unrepentant Clintonistas. I think that your points are good, as usual. We just disagree, mildly, on how they are going to impact.
But to say it's all personality does a disservice to the both of us. Outside that, how about that game? Disappointed in the final but what a cliff hanger.

I planned to for as long as I can.His show is still going when I go to work. I'll pull up 24/7 tonight .Remember, I'm not in love wi h a lot of the proposals either. I just don't buy the idea that third party or the Democrats have anything better, and in fact, think have much worse, to offer.

Nah, I didn't think you were part of a personality cult. I was making general remarks.
Not sure if I mentioned it but, if bushbotism is a kind of personality cult, so is bashbotism.
Love 'em or hate 'em, stand on principle. And watch that congressional checkbook.

Oh I know you weren't talking about me, man.You need to post this line above about 10x10x10 times to get the attention of the none listening here and everywhere else. Have you seen over on "that" site, some are trashing Tancrdo becasue he is not doing their bidding fast enough? Anyway, got the kids secured , now 4 hours on the road yeehaa.

Well, I am trying...
People want to bitch about spending, fine. But go after the man with the checkbook! You shouldn't shoot your bullets until you acquire the target.
Have you seen over on "that" site, some are trashing Tancrdo because he is not doing their bidding fast enough?
No. But after the mentions of it here tonight, I went to look and found a thread that was (indirectly) about me. Unsettling. Odder yet, they removed my name from the posts quoted.
I'm not sure it's healthy for this site to be obsessing over that other site. Or that old Lucianne thing. I still think invading D.U. is good sport. And the Deaniacs are mixin' the Koolaid now so, even if you know you should, you just can't take your eyes off 'em.
It seems that in the current discussion on this thread, there are elements of rivalry and old fights between personalities on that site and this site.
I'm surprised Jim is paying that much attention to them. I guess that site is FReeper-hell, where 'bad' FReepers go when they 'die', having committed 'suicide' or 'struck by lightning'.
And the whole 'opus' thing here followed by new posts there is a little dramatic for me.
I know it's corny but I like those biblical metaphors.

For me this isn't really about "hurt feelings" as it is about national security. See #1119.
Judges are just 1/3 of the problem.

If we can set limits and have automatic accross-the-board reductions in place if Congress fails to institute priorities, I think America will benefit greatly as long as we insist that Congress adheres to the limits. Bump to that!

So far, Limbaugh's focusing on the crassness of the Super Bowl halftime show and commercials, but I'm hoping he acknowledges Dubyuh's weekly radio address proposition today...if followed up on, this sort of bold initiative could begin the process of re-attracting fiscal conservatives back to the fold fer the upcoming election.
