Al Sharpton Speech at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (Yours Truly was there!!!)
Yours Truly | January 28, 2004 | Yours Truly

Posted on 01/28/2004 1:40:11 PM PST by El Conservador

Al "It's the Jews' fault" Sharpton spoke today at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, sponsored by the College Democrats and State Rep. Yaphett El-Amin, D-Dist. 57.

Rep. El-Amin introduced him, after the usual tirade about "Bush spending on war instead of keeping schools open", referring to the recent school closings at the St. Louis public school district.

Then, Fat Al gave his speech.

First, he gave his campaign promises: Repealing Bush's "tax cuts for the wealthy", and give healthcare, education and jobs to the poor.

Then he spoke about how President Bush "misled us" into this war, and how he had shifted the focus of the War on Terror from Osama Bin Laden to Saddam Hussein without "apparent reason".

Then he went on to speak on his bread and butter: Healthcare, education and jobs.

-Healthcare: On this respect, he went Kucinich by proposing a single-payer public health care system (by the way, maybe I'm foreign and don't understand, but what's a single-payer health care system???) like in Canada and Europe.

-Taxes: He spoke how the tax cut was really a tax shift, in which the states have to pay for social services instead of the feds. Naturally he proposed repealing the tax cuts, but said he won't raise taxes.

-Education: He talked about the federal government taking over inner-city school system (like it's going to solve the problem).

-Jobs: He went FDR by proposing a New Deal-esque, WPA-style public infrastructure recovery plan.

Finally he answered question, in which one of the spectators asked a question on mandatory sentences for drug possesion, and how that benefited the big-time dealer and punished the lowly crackhead. He proposed repealing them.

Fat Al is a socialist. At least he's honest about what he wants the Federal Government to do whereas the other Democrats while also Leftists, resort to doubletalk to keep their radical program palatable. He wants to take the country in a direction even beyond where President Bush is taking it.

Basically it means that only a single payer should be responsible for your health care and it should be someone other than you, ie, the government.

I would have gone too if he was close by. At least he is an entertaining (although irritating) speaker.

Eliminate Mandatory to help the "lowly Crackhead" and punish the dealers? Does he not know one votes for him and the other bankrolls him? That's not good politics.

If I hear anymore drivel about "Healthcare for the Poor", I'll puke.

I have just retired from 30 years of civil service in administering Medicaid at the local level. If any poor person does not have Medicaid by now, there is only ONE reason---

They have not applied for it.

Now that Kerry has the primary wrapped up, in the upcoming democratic primary ...

BIG AL NEEDS OUR HELP NOW MORE THAN EVER!
*** Register as a democrat and vote for Crazy Al! ***

During the May 3, 2003 demoncrap debate in Columbia, S.C., our man Al stated “The way to move a donkey is to slap the donkey,” and “I’m going to slap the donkey until the donkey kicks”.

Let’s help Crazy Al slap the donkey until it kicks.

GW has the Republican nomination sewn up. Its time for all good republicans, libertarians, and independents to stand up and be counted. Lets take a page from Sen. McCain’s play book. Prior to the 2004 democratic presidential primary in your state, re-register as a democrat and vote for Al Sharpton!

Lets ensure Crazy Al gets prime time speaking rights at the 2004 nationally televised democratic convention. You gotta love it. Line up, sign up, and send this to all your like-minded friends.

Here is a link to planned 2004 primary dates from the National Association of Secretaries of State:

Check here for the rules governing primary voting in your state:

How about an Al Sharpton yard sign?

Want to keep up on the latest on Big Al’s progress? Go to the Republicans for Sharpton website at:

Oh yea, and don’t forget to call the local demoncrap party headquarters and ask them the following before the primary election:

1. Can I get a ride to the polls – help them spend their money during the primaries so they’ll have less during the national election. Have them take you the scenic route and stop off and do some shopping on the way home.
2. Are you giving anything away free for voting democrat? Cigarettes, booze, box of cigars, box lunch, etc. Ask for two of each.
3. Send 25 cents in the mail to the DNC and watch how much they spend on mailing you to give to the party. Always send their solicitation back to them with all associated literature in the prepaid envelope included in the mailing. They have to pay that postage upon return. Great way to help them spend money and keep you up to date on their propaganda.

Can you think of any other questions we should ask them?
