I don't go to itshappening. That is utilized in Java Script. Same as disc.server. I think you call disc.server CNV. It is a trap too.

NOTE: DON'T CLICK ON THIS URL:http://disc.server.com/Indices/206989.html

Here's a basic non-message posted lately at the CNV board.
Let's look at the IP address.

Guys - I'm a techie by trade, and work with Java & Javascript.

Javascript cannot harm your PC. It does not have "write" access to your hard drive, etc.

I'm curious as to what you all think is happening from the CN&V site, or itshappening, etc.

You DO have to be careful with your IP if you're like me and on a "fixed" IP address that never changes. (Obviously, once a hacker knows it, they can try to attack your PC directly - but a good firewall stops that. Get ZoneAlarm if you don't have one).

Methinks JavaScript and Cookies get a bum rap. Those of us who work with the technology directly know what it can do, and what the "urban legends" are. I would not be so concerned about either of these, but that's JMHO. (But DO watch your IP if you don't have a firewall!)
