Yes, ladies and gentlemen, a man who wants to be president really did tell a joke about the potential shooting of a sitting vice president. Drudge talked about it on his show tonight. This is just amazing. The Republicans are the ones who are mean spirited????
Excerpt from slate.msn.com ---
Quote: "Somebody told me the other day that the Secret Service has orders that if George Bush is shot, they're to shoot Quayle.
There isn't any press here, is there?" (Associated Press, Nov. 16, 1988).
Charge: Kerry delivered this joke at a business breakfast shortly after the election of President George H.W. Bush and Vice President Dan Quayle. The co-chairman of the Bush-Quayle campaign in Massachusetts called it "an extraordinarily reckless comment" that was "very clearly in bad taste."

""Somebody told me the other day that the Secret Service has orders that if George Bush is shot, they're to shoot Quayle."That isn't even funny. Maybe it came on the tail end of yet another of those zillions of tiresom "Quayle hunting" jokes the lefties were always trying to get everyone to laugh at.

Holy crap, I have a five-year-old who has better spelling and grammar skills than you.
Thankfully, I'm pretty sure you're too illiterate to successfully fill-out a voter registration card.
That Dean implosion probably made you weep. He was the stupid voter's candidate. Don't worry, Kerry's pretty braindead too.

Kerry will be easy to knock down; it is a good thing that the Clintons do not want Edwards to win. That lawyer maybe hard to be and will probably have a much cleaner past than Kerry.

Right, of course you do. Think outside the box man."You're obviously a product of the public school system and Hillary!s plan to dumb down America, beginning with yur generation. "Somebody told me the other day that the Secret Service has orders that if George Bush is shot, they're to shoot Quayle." That was a common joke back then.
Vice President Dan Quayle took quite a beating from the press over some of his mistakes in some of his speeches, and especially over his misspelling of the word "potato" at a school.
The press was constantly picking on Dan Qualye back then, trying to paint him as stupid.
All very unfair, perhaps. But still, that joke was just a joke.
To: american_punk
Hey punk this was way past a joke. Just shows the sick mind of Kerry to joke about killing an official. The audacity is astounding.

Kerry Says US Needs Its Own 'Regime Change'
by Glen Johnson
PETERBOROUGH, N.H. - Senator John F. Kerry said yesterday that President Bush committed a ''breach of trust'' in the eyes of many United Nations members by going to war with Iraq, creating a diplomatic chasm that will not be bridged as long as Bush remains in office.
''What we need now is not just a regime change in Saddam Hussein and Iraq, but we need a regime change in the United States,'' Kerry said in a speech at the Peterborough Town Library.
