Al-Qaeda Ideologist Warns of "Unimaginable" Attack
Emergency Net ^ | Jan. 25, 2004 | ENN

Posted on 01/25/2004 7:51:53 PM PST by FairOpinion

MIDDLE EAST: Louis Attyiat-Allah, an self-proclaimed Al-Qaeda ideologist, has warned that a massive Al-Qaeda attack was pending and criticized Middle East television channel Al-Jazeera for not airing all of a recent speech by Usama bin Laden.

In the recent issue of the Al-Qaeda biweekly magazine "Sawt al-Jihad", Attyiat-Allah said a possible future attack on the same scale as 9-11 was coming. He described it as innovative and would come at a time completely unexpected.

Attyiat-Allah said western analysts would be unable to predict when the attack could occur, because it would be "unimaginable in the normal way."

"It will be bigger, in the sense that the loss from which America and the Western World will suffer, because it will be very big and immeasurable...due to its greatness, it will change the global power balance," he said.

Despite making these warnings, Attyiat-Allah did not say what his sources were. The comments have not been authenticated by U.S. or allied intelligence sources, though more than one analyst told EmergencyNet News that "the threat seems to be in keeping with previous Al-Qaeda doctrine." Many U.S. government intelligence analysts believe that "Sawt al-Jihad" and other alleged Al-Qaeda associated websites and mailing lists largely consist of "misdirection and misinformation."

Also in the magazine article, Attyiat-Allah said he was upset that television station Al-Jazeera did not air a recent interview by Usama bin Laden in its entirety.

“I felt angry at al-Jazeera channel for cutting the speech from over 40 minutes to 14 minutes only, because it is very clear that this is one of the most important speeches of the Sheikh," Attyiat-Allah complained.

"It is clear that this is a detailed, political speech, and that the Sheikh read it from a paper which was prepared beforehand... in my personal opinion, this speech, in its essence, is a speech [about the] future," he added.

Or run into Coast Guard scuba divers.

It came across the scanner the other day that a boat needed help and wanted to dock up at such and such pier but the Coast Guard said no because they had scuba divers down their working.

and we live in a little itty bitty port.

I finaly figured it out how they could do it, but I doubt they would know how to do it.All it would take is for Russia to think they had an incoming ICBM, I do believe they would resort to MAD and as soon as they did we would also.I don't think they could fool our system but I am not so sure about Russia. They almost nuked us in 1995 over a weather sattelite launch.

Maybe they plan to detonate a nuke underwater near a harbor.

What nukes? Whose nukes? These guys don't have nuclear bombs. And if they did, detonating one underwater near a harbor would hardly be the easiest and deadliest course of action. Are you referring to a "dirty bomb?" How much damage could that do underwater?

I did a lot of reading on Russia since midnight, some stuff was scary. Some of the old timers still in power and how they perceive us. Also the ultimate goal of communism and how the art of deception is used to obtain a goal. Also some reading on Red China.Which makes one wonder where AQ may get some of their finances.

Plenty of money has come from S.A. and Iran. But some nudges of equipment, direction, and technology have certainly come from both China and the erstwhile Soviet Union. The "unrestricted warfare" paper that was floating out of NewsMax presents some interesting theories (by a senior Chinese general) as to why China might be interested in al Qaeda's successes in ways that would be very hard to prove.

The 70% of incapacitated aq might sound good, but what about that (only)1%(of all muslims) of fanatical islamists who sympathize, financially support and love killing as a blood sport? We must NEVER let our guard down again.
