Mexican Army Incursions Into The United States

Incursions
During his travels along the border, Rep. Tancredo learned that the Mexican Army and Law Enforcement Agencies routinely make "incursions" into the U.S. A total of 23 were confirmed by the U.S. government in 2001, and there have been over 115 since 1996. The purpose of these incursions is not totally understood, but U.S. officials have speculated that they are designed to help facilitate the flow of illegal drugs into America, either by creating a diversion or by providing cover for the traffickers. When Rep. Tancredo sent a letter to the Mexican government, the Embassy in Washington, DC sent a curt response to his inquiry, implying that the troops were merely getting lost. Not a single U.S. law enforcement agent on the ground in the southwest has agreed with that explanation. Rep. Tancredos office has begun documenting new incursions as they take place. Most recently, two disturbing incursions have taken place. On May 17th, a Mexican Army unit led an incursion near Ajo, Arizona that ended with a shot being fired at a Border Patrol Agent. The agent was not hurt, but had two of his vehicles windows shot out. On June 14th, the Mexican Army opened fire (with high-powered .308 rifles) on a vehicle with 20 people packed into it. Six of the passengers were injured, two critically. Despite Rep. Tancredos efforts to draw attention to them, each incident received only spotty coverage. You can read the accounts of each incident by following these links: May 17th Incursion: http://www.washtimes.com/national/20020513-27549872.htm http://www.washtimes.com/national/20020523-865103.htm June 14th Incursion: http://www.washtimes.com/national/20020615-91529269.htm The issue of incursions needs to be confronted by the U.S. government before a catastrophic incident involving the loss of life occurs. If you have specific information about an incursion by Mexican military or law enforcement, please contact Rep. Tancredos office at (202) 225-7882 or tom.tancredo@mail.house.gov. You will remain anonymous. |

This amnesty was the worst idea of bad ideas.

Yet another reason to be grateful to Tom Tancredo, the one member of Congress who seems to take US sovereignty seriously.

Since America's elite is showing weakness to a degree that Jimmy Carter could only imagine, I look for the Mexican army to be participating in hits on the ranchers who object to the flow of illegals and drugs within a couple of years. As Travis McGee says the Southwest is our Kosovo.

from another thread today:
"95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide in L.A., which total 1,200 to 1,500, target illegal aliens and up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens."
"A confidential California Department of Justice study reported in 1995 that 60 percent of the 20,000-strong 18th Street Gang in southern California is illegal; police officers say the proportion is actually much greater. The bloody gang collaborates with the Mexican Mafia, the dominant force in California prisons, on complex DRUG-DISTRIBUTION schemes, extortion, and drive-by assassinations, and commits an assault or robbery every day in L.A. County. The gang has grown dramatically over the last two decades by recruiting recently arrived youngsters, most of them illegal, from Central America and Mexico."

Capture if possible.
Kill if necessary.
Interrogate as much as possible.
"Lose" them in some pit of a cell somewhere afterwards.
Play dumb when Mexico asks where they are.
Ask them to cough up the convicted murderers they harbor, as well as no longer sending troops over.
Word it something like, "If you don't stop sending them into US territory, they WILL begin to disappear."

To: MegaSilver
I agree.. I certainly hope my statement about the 2nd amendment wasn't misunderstood. There wasn't provision for military protection and protection from incursion was from the people protecting the borders. The National Guard is needed to protect the border against a foreign military force on US soil.

'Incursions'.
No, invasion of sovereign territory, and repeated acts of war by firing at American citizens. What in God's name is wrong with Bush and the rest of those people in Washington? However the ranchers down there want to handle it, I'll stand behind them.
To: Quix
Do Mexican Army units cross into the US?
Yes.
Sometimes they're chasing Zapatista supporters into the US. It's worth noting that the border is extremely poorly marked in eastern Arizona.
Sometimes they're escorting drug smugglers.
As for the claims of ChiCom involvement...that rumor has been floating around like a turd in the punchbowl, for FIFTY YEARS.
And it's also worth noting that there were "Germans in Mexico" invasion scares well before the Zimmermann Telegram affair.
