He has lost my vote, it's up to him to earn it back. So far he is failing miserably.

He might have lost your vote, but I don't think I or anybody else really cares except some crack pot Buchaninites.

GEORGE BUSH IS AWESOME.

How many times do you have to be told? It's not amnesty.
Amnesty means only instant citizenship and a free car to all illegals, issued on a Wednesday.

I will vote for George W. Bush, and support him as our president. He is a leader like Joshua, who says "Follow me, while I follow the Lord."

I do not think he is "Failing Miserably", but then I did not know that Dick Gephart had joined this forum.

Don't forget how his 'conservative' administration castrated the 4th amendment with the so-called 'Patriot Act'.

He has lost my vote

Mine, too. The Constitution Party gets my vote.

Your only alternative is Kerry/Dean/Clark/Edwards.

Do you actually believe that you will get MORE CONSERVATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS with any of them??

You guys who threaten not to vote for Bush because he hasn't done enough for YOU need to start to think about the COUNTRY above your own egos!

Question:

Why do you keep the screen name Bikers4Bush? Makes no sense to me since you are going around the threads trashing Pres Bush about his not being conservative and you are not voting for him.

This is an excellent article about President Bush and his Conservatism along with the fact that we have a President who is also compassionate and believes that EVERY American deserves an opportunity for success.

My first amendment rights have not been trampled on because I can still post on Free Republic and challenge posters who declare that President Bush is not conservative and will not be voting for him unless he changes. He is not going to change because when he proposes something, he does it from his heart not by sticking a finger in the wind to see which way the wind is blowing.

Maybe it wouldn't hurt if there were a little more compassion around here towards our fellow man who just may need a helping hand. Someday you or someone you know may be on the receiving end of some of these programs that Pres Bush has proposed to make America a better place to live for all of us.

I feel very privileged to have been born in America and have the rights of being an American citizen. Many people around the world would give anything to be living in this great Country. That is one reason we have the problems we have today with number of people wanting to come here legally and those that come illegally. If we didn't have such a great Country, people wouldn't be flocking to America.

My Dad's Family came to this Country before the Revolutionary War and settled in Virginia because they wanted a better life. Guess if you were an Indian, you would say that my Family came here illegally!

Excuse him, he didn't know the rules here that you can't EVER say anything positive about W on Free Republic. You "Conservatives" know everybody here goose steps in unison over W's liberal ways. He overspends just like Reagan did, mostly on the military.

He has an illegal worker program which everyone here misnames/lies amnesty like the Rats. Please explain how we can get migrant workers to pick our crops without Mexicans?? You ready to sacrifice our farmers??? If you can really answer that to me I will vote for YAAAWN Spend & Kerry too!

Pray for W and The Truth

rewarding illegal aliens

Geez...next time I have to pay a speeding ticket, I guess I better thank the judge for "rewarding" me for breaking the law. From Bush's speech:

Undocumented workers now here will be required to pay a one-time fee to register for the temporary worker program. Those who seek to join the program from abroad, and have complied with our immigration laws, will not have to pay any fee.

Transcript

This so-called "fee" is a fine for breaking the immigration law, those who came in legally do not have to pay it.More:

Some temporary workers will make the decision to pursue American citizenship. Those who make this choice will be allowed to apply in the normal way. They will not be given unfair advantage over people who have followed legal procedures from the start. I oppose amnesty, placing undocumented workers on the automatic path to citizenship. Granting amnesty encourages the violation of our laws, and perpetuates illegal immigration. America is a welcoming country, but citizenship must not be the automatic reward for violating the laws of America.
So these people will be put at the back of the citizenship line, another of your so-called "rewards".

Besides, people seem to forget a basic fact that I learned in elementary school...the President does not make the laws, Congress does. Bush clearly stated the details would be up to Congress. There were already two plans out there before Bush's speech, one in the House and one in the Senate. The final plan is going to look nothing like what Bush laid out in his speech. Bush knows that. Was he pandering to the Hispanics? Probably. Is that going to affect my vote? Absolutely not. I commend him for putting the issue on the table for debate.

Instead of harping on and on about the Bush proposal, we need to write our Congresscritters and back the Tancredo proposal which can be found at the following link:

H.R. 3534 (introduced by Rep. Tom Tancredo)

So, I will find your posts praising Bill Clinton's conservatism some place here in FR?

He reduced government, lowered spending, enacted some strict laws restricting immigration, and of course, stood for family values as we all witnessed in the Elian Gonzalez case.

Tom Tancredo supports prescription drug benefits under medicare. Tom Tancredo supports union leaders spending their members' mandatory dues to support a candidate in which the members don't agree with. You call that conservative?

You can write in Tancredo but it will get little attention. If you want something done about the illegal aliens, you need to harrass Tom Delay to bring HR 2671 to the floor for a vote. If it takes a petition, then so do it. Writing in Tom Tancredo is not activism. It is nonsense blabbing about it just to prove a point and will get little attention on the hill.

To: Bikers4Bush; All
I’ve observed these "Bush Isn't Conservative" debates on FR long enough that I’m convinced we need to acknowledge what’s going on. In reading the arguments of the Bush-Bashers, in assessing their tone and behavior in their interaction with others, we need to conclude that what we’re seeing isn’t evidence of a political ideology; what we’re seeing is evidence of a personality disorder. Consider:

The Bush-Bashers, generally, consistently exhibit certain character traits --

• Perfectionism
• Inflexibility
• Stridency and argumentativeness
• Impracticality/detachment from reality
• A tendency to view the world from the perspective of the ideal, and inability to consider practical alternatives
• Aggressiveness
• Narrow viewpoint and the inability and unwillingness to consider other viewpoints
• Inability to see the big picture
• Elitism, and a tendency to consider only their position as being the “right” one
• Rigidity and the inability to accommodate, compromise, or exhibit flexibility
• Judgmentalism and defensiveness
• Lack of civility
• Negativity
• A preference to destroy what they disagree with rather than build on previous progress
• Inability to focus on an overall goal and to work cooperatively with others toward that goal
• Individuality, to the point of personal isolation

Interestingly enough, these character traits are found in extremists of every stripe, left as well as right. These character traits seem to be common to extremists, independent of ideology, which is why their behavior and attitudes are symptomatic of a personality disorder rather than a political philosophy. In fact, many of these traits closely parallel the symptoms of Paranoid Personality Disorder as identified by the American Psychiatric Association (see http://mentalhelp.net/poc/view_doc.php?type=doc&id=569&cn=8 for confirming information).

So, enjoy the democrats - your party. Bush will not be calling to find out what you want him to do - but you might stay by the phone just in case.

I imagine Bush will do what he thinks best.
