A vote for anyone but George W. Bush for president in 2004 strengthens Al Qaeda.

And once again, he has not 'squandered' votes of his base. He still has 90% of his baseIf this is true then why do so many on FR get upset anytime anybody talks about staying home or voting for somebody else?
I'm trying to reconcile this, and not taking a poke at you - I have openly discussed not voting and/or writing in somebody or voting for somebody else, and have all but been labeled a danger to this country and been told that my vote will put a democrat in the WH (nevermind that I'm in Texas, lol).
If he has 90% of his base, those who get upset when somebody discusses not voting for him should chill out.

I would prefer to be able to directly assist people in my community, instead of sending money to Washington to dole out to whom they chose. Socialism is anti-Christian and anti-Freedom - of that there is zero doubt. Charity is called charity because it is done by "free will" but when the government confiscates from one group of people to give to another - that is not charity and it's not love.

Very well stated and wanted to see it in print one more time. Now can those one issue folks figure it out? Thank you and no. :-)
To: Mo1
GWB has moved to far to the left to enjoy my support anymore. Sorry this is how I see it.

And liberalism in power will not hurt the Country No. Liberal policies will hurt the country if enacted. That is why I am not voting for Bush. A divided country will produce gridlock, rather than a Congress rubber stamping Bush's liberal social agenda. Gridlock is the best we can hope for until we get a real Republican leader.
To: Bikers4Bush
So, I will find your posts praising Bill Clinton's conservatism some place here in FR?
He reduced government, lowered spending, enacted some strict laws restricting immigration, and of course, stood for family values as we all witnessed in the Elian Gonzalez case.

"Once you "break the party," as so many of you want to do, what are your options then, since nobody with extreme views will EVER be elected."
Sorry, but if you look back over my comments on this issue I never once said anything about voting for anybody else. I was merely pointing out the absurdity of defending Bush on these things when you know darn well you would have been screaming had a Democrat done the same.

So, by your definition, Clinton was a conservative and Reagan was a liberal.
Clinton had the lowest spending percentage as it related to the GDP, and Reagan the highest, with GWB coming in at the second lowest.

There won't be a 'next time around' for any of us if the dems win this election.

LOL! Every poll since 9/11 has shown a consistent 90% or higher support of Republicans for President Bush INCLUDING those taken after the immigration policy was announced.
You should really try to get your facts straight.

Draw in your knives, they are not necessary.
If I'm howling, then you are howling... since we are both posting on this thread.
Just as you have your hot-button issues, I have mine.
And the offer to the ride wasn't a dig, insult, or cut. It was to show you that I agree with your right to cast your vote for anyone you chose.
