Faced with what looks like a crushing defeat in Iowa, presidential hopeful Dick Gephardt is canceling plans to travel to New Hampshire tomorrow and heading home to St. Louis instead, reports the Fox News Channel. With more than 70 percent of precincts reporting, the former House Minority Leader seems destined for a humiliating fourth place finish, garnering just 11 percent of the vote in a state that was considered a must win for the Missouri Democrat.
Only a few short days ago, Gephardt was locked in a dead heat with Howard Dean for first place, according to most polls.
"After 25-years as a political leader in Washington, all indications from his staff are that Dick Gerphardt will be folding his political tent tomorrow," reported FNC's Carl Cameron.

My serious, no really, question is this: Will all of those who contributed money to his sorry campaign get their money back? If not, why? And if not, then why did they contribute?

Faced with what looks like a crushing defeat in Iowa, presidential hopeful Dick Gephardt is canceling plans to travel to New Hampshire tomorrow and heading home to St. Louis ...Crushing blow when you're from the neighbouring state of Missouri, spent months in Iowa campaigning, and Iowans hand you your butt.

NBC reporting same thing.
Saw him on the tube last week. He kept going on and on about the middle class. Lieing sack of bs. When he gets back to congress, he will start pushing legislation for every misfit and underprivileged group he can find.

... Will all of those who contributed money to his sorry campaign get their money back? ... Of course not. I think most of these RATS running are just in it to a slush fund for future campaigns.

kucinich is the type of nutball to carry on for awhile even after it is more than clear he is out of the running.

Lieberman's next, unless he believes he can hold on until Super Tuesday. Since he don't really have the cash on hand, he won't.

"Dick Gephardt is a miserable failure"
Thank God we won't have to listen to anymore of his pathetic statements about the president anymore. No more tales about how his father drove a milk truck or about his mother being on social security or how all the "rich" people he knows want to pay more taxes.
