one issue conservatives , who are threatening to jump ship over immigration reform, have me worried.

Let them jump. The best thing that happened in 2003 was the California recall election, when the "unappeasables" arrogantly postured, threatened and sabotaged and Schwarzenegger won 48% to McClintock's 13%.

The dirty little secret is that for every one of these flaky, selfish extremists that leave the GOP, three or four of our politically moderate, but personally conservative, neighbors, family and friends will join the Party and vote for Bush.

You can't win with these extortionists on board. There's no satisfying them without driving the independent voter away. Better they leave.

Jorge, we're on the money! Kerry ahead .... Dean and Edwards for the number two slot ... Gephardt dragging.

Yup! Lurch is out in front.
It's close between Dean and Edwards...and Gephardt is going on life support.

The non-viables are now haggling over who to throw their votes behind.

Well, if either Kerry or Clark pull this out, then it will be interesting to watch the Klintoons submarine them.

Why Clark? He's definitely their guy.
