Only in the Northeast do idiots get in boats with suits on and in the cold and the wind.

Unless of course you are Nixon walking on beach in a suit.

I FIGURED IT OUT [Jonah Goldberg]

Dean reminds me of the Hulk in that interim stage just before Bruce Banner turns green and starts to rip his clothes.

A good line from over at The Corner.

Further proof that the meltdown was a bad idea. Even the late-night hosts are ridiculing him. Jimmy Kimmel just played a clip of him and said something to the effect it showed how nuts he was.

Like the lead up games to the SuperBowl where I didn't have a dog in the race, I have just sat back and enjoyed.

The Hyperbola is the same.

Thankfully the Eagles lost and I can shut those Democrats up (already did tonight).

Life is Good. There is a God.

(I did mean Kennedy sitting down, not John F Kerry)

Well, then. Kerry is quite clearly an establishment slut. Thanks for this picture - it explains a lot.

Kerry on Larry King at CNN now saying, "the people want to know, 'what are you going to do for me' and I'm pleased they pay attention...." blah, blah, blah.

What a long way from 1961 and JFK saying "ask not what your country can do for you"...pitiful.

Plying to your (hate-filled) base is OK.

As long as everybody can't listen/doesn't listen/isn't told by the compliant media to listen!

When the media started giving him all the attention, all the time, his earlier (and equally frequent) screw-ups and temper tantrums could no longer be ignored.

Especially as soon as Hillary's crews turned the handcuffs loose.

Big boat.

Official Navy business? For guests?

(That's a Navy suit in the background, and naval-style paint and antennas on the ship.)

"Let them jump"
"Better they leave"

I don't want them ("one issue conservatives") to leave. I mean, I'm not "moderate",. I believe in conservative ideology. It's the best way to go. But , I can also see people today, don't have a clue about what conservatism is, or why it is the better choice.

We were well on our way to falling over the cliff of socialism, when GWB was elected. It's like we are trying to pull ourselves back from the edge of that cliff. Clinton was elected twice. Gore won the popular vote. I blame the Republicans for part of this, because they didn't make their case to the people, and, thanks to Lott and others, Clinton , was never brought up on the serious charges he should have been . I am NOT talking about Monica and cigars here.. But , it's water under the bridge now.

I wish we would have a national dialogue about why we don't want to turn Socialist, and why conservatism, ultimately is the most fair to everyone. But, this isn't going to happen if we lose. If we give power back to dems, they will shut all dialogue down. They will shut Free Republic down. They don't believe in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. While President Bush, is a moderate, and has done things I don't like , he is still on our side, for the most part. We have to win the country back, one battle at a time. I wish people understood this.

I'll tell you about my neighbors son, to illustrate the problem. He is 19 now, and he's a minority (African American). His family all receive services from the government and don't work. They all talk about how tough they have it, while the government checks keep coming in the mail. The kid, David, is all messed up from the complaining and such, so I try to talk to him about things.

I keep telling him he can do anything he wants to do, but he has to make the effort. (in spite of how he was raised, he really is an intelligent kid, with alot of potential). I told him no one was going to knock on his door and offer him a job. He'd have to go out and look for one. For a while he said he won't get hired because of racism, and I would say "Have you tried to get a job? How many applications have you put in?" His reply: " None."

Finally, he decided to go out and try, and much to his amazement, got a job in a box factory. He now gets himself up at 5am, takes the bus to work, and doesn't come home til 4-5pm. He opened his first checking account, and is quite proud of himself. He hates his job, but he understands that its a stepping stone so he can buy a car , then take some night classes at the community college, and get a better job. Unfortunately , his family is giving him a hard time about his successes. They call him white or say he's going to be an Oreo exc.. ( He says he wants to move out. A good idea I think.)

The point of this is, in all his 19 years, and all his years in public school, no one had ever told him he had to work to get what he wanted. It's so simple, but no one talks about it anymore. We're all so twisted up with the PC touch feely Self esteem crap of the last 40 years of 'RAT rule, we have forgotten the basics of our society, what it takes to succeed here or even the principles that make our country work so much better than the others.

We aren't teaching the kids any of this (or, at least its not emphasized as the main point of it all). They expect everything to be handed to them. They think that having a job is a bad thing, but living off the government and doing nothing all day is good.

The general public is unable to see through 'RAT lies and could be easily talked into throwing the country away, in favor of a socialist system,(promises the easy life, but delivers nothing).

I would like to see President Bush talk a whole lot more to about people taking responsibility for themselves. I would like to see someone talk to the legal Hispanic Immigrants about how much illegal immigration costs them, (in lost jobs, lower pay and having to support those who won't work) as well as the rest of the country, and challenge them about their assumption that "racism" is why people vote for something like proposition 187. It isn't. People don't want to have take things away from their own family in order pay for someone elses family, who came here illegally, and who refuses to work. It has nothing to do with race. The whole concept of legal immigration is based on how many people we can take in ,with out hurting our economic system. It would be nice if some one could explain that to them ( on Spanish TV and Newspapers exc..)

I would love to see Tom Mc Clintock win higher office, he makes alot of sense, but, he and any other conservative needs to be able to communicate clearly that conservatism is NOT "racism" to the people, because so many have this false assumption about it.

I don't know if we can turn it all around, but, if we let the dems in, its over for sure. I wish the "one issue conservatives" would grasp this. You don't win by losing. Especially when it comes to giving power over to the dems.

G'night all. I'm gonna go watch "the Barbarians" on the Hiatory Channel -- it's a lot more honest and civilized than this democrap circus.

Oh, hell. Edwards is ranting about "35 million Americans living in poverty" and billions and billions of American chillllllllrun going to bed hungry every night. Why look up real figures when you can pull them out of your ass?

It began when he took off his jacket and pulled up his sleeves. Don't know if anyone noticed Harkin in the background looking just as frightening as Dean. He was downright giddy as he egged him on.

Maybe he is used to reading briefs or something.

Nah! He just wears them when he is not wearing boxers.

To defeat Bush, his opponent must come up with a compelling reason to replace him. That will be hard to do.

Volunteer soldiers getting killed by the dozens in Iraq is not a reason. Drafted soldiers getting killed may be a reason. If me or mine can be drafted to be killed that may be a reason. Fighting them there with volunteers rather than fighting them here wiht me as a target is reason to keep Bush.

When young men and woman have to volunteer to get killed in war, the vast majority of the voting public will not care. They and theirs have no intention of volunteering. It is not an issue.

What they will care about is the economy. And the center is watching the Nasdaq and Dow Jones. The Democrats don't have a prayer. This is not 2000 where voters had a moral a reason to not give Clinton and the Democrats a 3rd term. It is a tribute to the Bush staff that they won a 2000 victory. It was against all the odds.

The Democrats are all Deaniac's and they will have to live that impression down. Remember elections are won on impressions. And even if the voters are not paying attention, they still get impressions. And impressions have to be overcome. That is a very hard task when the impression is Demcrats are weak on defending the USA.

They have to over comethe impression. Unless they say get to the right of Bush on Defense .. they have bought the farm. And unless they can convince the public that Bush' tax cuts are not working, they have bought that farm too.

The Breck Girl will not live down the Breck girl image ib the south. It is the most costly negative image one can imagine. The Breck girl can not win.

God .. the muslims are coming... qiuck get me a sexy metrosexual with a sexy smile is not a female or male reaction.

The Breck girl can't get male votes. Pretty boys never get male votes.
