I know what Dean was missing at his rant..
He should have had a bunch of rappers in full bling bling walking back and forth behind him flashing gang signs.

Ron Jr was OK, what he said was basically true.
Pat Buchanan on MSNBC now still saying Dean has a chance, he is nuts.

I contributed to his campaign. As a poor college student it was a big sacrifice to send him some dough. But that speech was not the way to win over independents and new voters. He scared me. He truly did. If a supporter (although not absolute #1) could be taken aback by such a performance, think of a person just seeing him for the first time." LOL!!

I can't take Ted Koppel AND the re-do of the election...sorry, but thanks for the headsup.

I was telling a few folks here the other night that Kerry would be a tough opponent. Having said that I was extremely pleased to have him introduced by his fellow senator in MAass, the dishonorable Ted Kennedy.
If Kerry wins the nomination, he and Kennedy will instantaneously become joined at the hip by the right.
Kerry is tough but he's also very liberal, very patricianly, very high brow and he has a voting record that will be tough to defend in a national race.
He's been voting liberal Mass interests for years and there will be a price to pay for that in the gneral election. As for his bring it on foreign policy thing, he should try this on for size: "senator, what ever possessed you to cast a vote that would have allowed Saddam Hussein to annex 75 % of the world known oil reserves?"

Do us a favor, please, and keep those numbers on what interst groups are funding Kerry up to date!
Insurance.
Lawyers. NY business offices. Communications? (No special interest there with CFR getting fed money to the stations, is there?)
Education .... All form the northeast.
Defense: dead last! Thought he fought "bravely" in Vietnam.

Did Kerry ever thank his wife or his volunteers?
All I heard was 'I love Iowa'.

DU's message board is so archaic it's hard to get a truly accurate read for a guy like me on dial-up, but I have to say there aren't alot of people terribly hip on Dean at the momment. His bombasts are turning them off. Kerry is still not popular over there, but people are starting to talk more and more about the electability quotient.
I think Edwards is the new hope, though there remains the sober assessment "Iowa doesn't mean all that much" .
Indeed , it sounds like they're wising up ....or at least, those who are wiser seem to be populating the DU boards tonight.
Wish it could have been more entertaining. Perhaps I'll troll a little more later

(Kerry. When you need to katchup...)
CNN idiots...Wolf just said tonight was "pretty remarkable" while Judy Anorexic Woodruff said, "it's a whole new ballgame".
Funny, I could swear before Dean started surging last summer, they were all kissing Kerry's butt saying he was the front runner.
Do these political pundits think we have no memories?

The Clintons plan is to make sure no Democrat wins in November to keep the Democrat nomination open for Hillary in 2008.

You reaction shows just how problematical personal reactions can be. You thought Kerry came across as a phony patrician blowhard, and I thought his speech was well written, disciplined, skillfully delivered, and effective. Obviously, both of us cannot be totally right, now can we? :) I guess the difference is that you were impressed with his parroting the same old phoney accusations against Bush, while I was somewhat less than impressed.
Kerry is a flip-flopper a liar and a hypocrite. He voted for the war is and is now ripping Bush for acting on that vote. You might find his BS effective and convincing...I don't.

Reagan was the greatest in my book, but I don't care for Ronny. He really lambasted Bush a while back on one of these shows.
Those teeth are a wreck too. Braces really are cheaper now Ron.
