Edwards could'nt bring in his own state, and had stated positively and for the record he is not interested in the 2nd spot (although he is an attorney and his lips were moving). But maybe this is just a reaffirmation that America supports the war (kinda like 2002 election), and only those who do likelwise need apply.
And maybe Ralph will run if Kerry/Edwards ticket (not leftist enough). Run, Ralph, Run!

Gephardt and the trade unions are so last century. They have been an anchor on manufacturing instead of a participant in progress.

2. Clark, who is the "stalking horse for Hillary" somehow manages to beat Bush. He is given his marching orders from Clinton (who undoubtedly has confidential dirt and this psycho) for the next four years, at which time he is told to step down, thereby allowing Hillary to run to run in 2008. Or:
1) Clark gets the nomination and picks Hitlery for VP.
2) Given full media complicity and sufficient vote fraud, Clark/Clinton win in 2004.
3) Clark has an unfortunate accident in early 2005, for example, he mysteriously ends up in Ft. Marcy Park, etc.

Am I the only one that thinks this so-called registered Republican who just surfaced for the first time since Vietnam seems to have a suspicious smell? What are you talking about?
What guy?

I can't believe the author of the Kerry book never bothered to interview the guy who Kerry saved.

"He only made big tonight because Dean imploded within the past two weeks."
Absolutely right! Kerry won because Dean couldn't keep his mouth shut. He won because he came off as more electable. His win had nothing to do with issues or priciples. He embodies the problem with the DNC. This is why they cannot win in 2004.

But in the polls, he doesn't carry his own state against Bush. At least not now. Right now, Bush is the favorite everywhere. Once the Dems have settled on their candidate and have a chance to consolidate behind him, things will change, and the race will almost inevitably tighten up.

Supposedly Rassman contacted the Kerry campaign on his own the day before he flew out to Iowa. That is pretty surprisng to me because Rassman said he had written to Kerry in 84, when Rassman still worked for some law enforcement agency in Los Angeles. Told Kerry if he was ever out that way that he'd like to take him to dinner. Kerry never answered his letter.

36 years AFTER the fact, some guy came forward to say Kerry saved his life in Vietnam.
And he's a Republican. And he's never been in contact with Kerry all that time.

Lessons of the campaign:
1. Phony beats Crazy every time.
2. If Dad sent you to an expensive prep school to make connections, it pays to use them, rather than lose them.
