Rush's PERFECT comments Re: Donovan McNabb

For those who missed it, Limbaugh performed the most perfect comments on Donovan McNabb this morning by not even mentioning his name.

Instead he contrasted the way that Payton Manning came out and took responsibility for his performance against the way that the media instantly set out to blame the Eagles' wide recievers for what happened to them.

It was the best revenge, because by not mentioning McNabb, no one in the media can say that Rush attacked McNabb, but to all us football fans, what Rush DIDNT say, was LOUD AND CLEAR. Thanks Rush!

Rush must have read my comments on the playoff thread. ;) I pointed out the very same thing about Manning. Manning said that when a QB throws an INT, its the QBs fault, and no one else.

The Eagles haven't had many personal changes over the last three years. No other RB, or WR, or headcoach, or DB, or LB has lost 3 straight NFC Championship games either.

McNabb had at least 6 throws that hit the receiver on both hands and didn't get caught (one got coughed up for Mannings' 3rd INT of the day), those misses were entirely the fault of the receiver. Put those 6 completions in his stats and McNabb had a pretty good though not stellar day. Once the QB puts the ball in somebody's hands everything that happens after that isn't his fault.

who the hell are you? Not only am I not "dead wrong", I'm far more qualified than you to speak about it, for several reasons, not limited to my experience officiating local and regional football games.

And, separate from the inconsistently applied rules, while you might have been happy to see an athlete get unnecessarily injured, I don't think you speak for most of america, or even most of eagle-hating FR.

Agreed. Compared to basketball and especially baseball, the NFL keeps fiddling with their rules and, thus, creats more problems than they solve. Unitas never had to have these sissy-fied QB protections. And what about intentional grounding? What a joke that "rule" is, now!

The quarterback is supposed to do more than throw the ball. He is the leader of the team. Had McNabb come back in the game, only to hand off the ball, it would have given his team a lift, and no one could say he tanked.

McNair would play with a missing arm. McNabb sat it out.
