National leaders of six conservative organizations yesterday broke with the Republican majorities in the House and Senate, accusing them of spending like "drunken sailors," and had some strong words for President Bush as well...

Well stated. I'm sticking with the Republicans and the reality that reversing the downward course this country has taken in the latter part of the 20th Century will not take place in the next 2 years or 4 years. Most of us won't be alive to see the end result of 70+ years worth of fighting or the end of the WOT, but we can be the generation that said we'd keep the ball rolling for future generations to come.

You are 100% incorrect. That is an RNC talking point. With our sophisticated technology and the troops in Germany we could seal the border in 2 months. Bush want to go to Mars but cannot seal the border? Who is kidding who here?
I dream of a secure border much more than going to Mars.

Only if you can be a little less serious...

You just said it. Many here are very educated on this topic. But, if someone like me jumps in and questions what is going on, the flame throwers come out. It's not that we disagree, but we question things from a different point of view. That's life, that's the way people work. We just have to learn to be a little less 'passionate' on many of our debates. I would like to participate, but I don't want to be called a Nazi lover or whatever because I didn't articulate my point well. We are all here to learn, but the approach should be looked at. I know it can be tedious explaining over and over again, but do so without the flames.
Howard Dean should be in a mental ward.

What exactly do you disagree with, saur?

You say I am 100% incorrect?
What do you have on the record that can prove your claim? Otherwise I will just chalk it up to another assumption bases on theoretical hypothesis.

None of the Democrats will get elected unless a majority in this country believes we'll be better off with the UN dictating policy, protecting our borders, and securing freedoms.
To: Afronaut
No I didn't. I know that. I'm disagreeing with you and will roll it back out when he gets the nomination.

Well put Indy, I will keep that rule in my pocket for future use.

When your party stops acting like the RATS then I might agree. After a while "if it looks like a duck....."
America is finished because the people who pay attention (Freepers) roll over every time. If the founding fathers acted like the cowards here, there would never be an America. After the Arnold fiasco, there is nothing that matters but POWER. Nothing. Life long beliefs and convictions go right out the window for a vote.

America is finished because the people who pay attention (Freepers) roll over every time. Yeah, whatever.
To: NewLand
I'm not sure which they are, but they'd better wise up. They keep saying that the country only matters to them, and yet they would sacrifice the entire country because they are angry over......whatever.
Am I happy over everything Dubya has done? No. But his track record far exceeds anyone we've had in the Whitehouse in a very, very long time.

I am not so sure about your stance...
Just today, Hollywood endorsed Clark. Michael Moore stood up and endorsed him.
The Clinton jugernaut is still working beneath the covers.. And the latest poles indicate a strong surge for the other 3. Dean, on the other hand, has lost nearly 10 points in just 4 days.
To: PSYCHO-FREEP
On record that the border can be sealed? Are you reaching? What on record do you have that it cannot? You are trying to tell me that we cannot seal the border? That is insane.
Do I have to list the technology that is available that can spot a border crossing? I made my point. If we really were serious on the WoT, the borders would be sealed. Since they are not I cannot believe that we are doing all that we can. How many people are waltzing in and out each day?

I don't see anyone rolling over for anybody in this thread or any other thread. Most are intelligent enough to stick to their guns whether you agree with them or not.
To: Afronaut
Of course the Bible points out that "The Meek shall inherit the Earth". And in the meantime, the Conservative majority.
