National leaders of six conservative organizations yesterday broke with the Republican majorities in the House and Senate, accusing them of spending like "drunken sailors," and had some strong words for President Bush as well...

I'm holding out for a larger Republican majority Which will do what? Enlarge Medicare even more? Create whole new types of entitlements? Allow even more illegal aliens to invade our country? Devise new and more draconian laws to regulate our political speech? Officially declare the 10th amendment null and void?
A functioning definition of insanity is "doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting the results to be different".
Republicans have been elected. They have adopted the Liberal agenda and are enthusiastically putting in into place. Electing more Republicans will just result in more oppression, faster.
The only difference between the Republicans and the Democrats is that the Democrats want the US ruled by a combination of national and international despots while the Republicans will settle for tyranny by just national despots. The end result is the same - the destruction of our freedom.
Given the objectives of both parties are the same, how can anyone justify supporting either party?
Save America from the tyranny of Republican/Democrat hegemony. Support the Constitution Party.

I don't need to go anywhere and I don't need your approval. No, you don't because my approval is not needed.
I just put the truth to the lie about you not having anywhere to go. You do. So go (my approval being nonbinding, of course).

Effectively, Congress did declare war. The precise words are not there, but the effect was. They just got political cover, and like the spineless creatures they are, they are trying to hang W. for it now.

If the immigration bill becomes law, it's Congress' fault for allowing it to happen, not Bush. It's Congress' fault for allowing it, but you can't let Bush off the hook it is his idea, and he is the one that is asking Congress to pass it. the Republicans in Congress has proven time and time again that they will do what Bush wants over the will of the people time and time again, regardless of how un-Constitutional it may be.

But the bulk of the Republicans in this country do not even know that this forum exists so very few people see this bickering going on. And if they did, they'd see the fringies for what they are -- fringies -- have a good laugh, and go vote to re-elect President Bush.

1. worse out-of-control spending
2. higher taxes
3. crashing economy
4. amnesty for illegals on the fast track
5. more liberal judges
6. more laws through judicial activism
7. entry into the World Court
8. pull-out from Iraq and more terrorist attacks on American soil
ETC. ETC. ETC
This is what we got with Bush. Re-elect him and we'll only get more of the same.

I go wherever the best place is for helping the country. For one election, it might be the CP, for another the GOP. It entirely depends on the circumstances of the time and the particular state i happen to be living in.
As I stated before, I do not need, nor want, your approval. Have a day.

If it passes, everyone in Washington will be held accountable. If you don't do your part to persuade your Congressman to vote against it, then it's your fault for allowing it to happen.

I believe that Congress will vote down the Immigration bill rather strongly.
The President has a good reason to come up with this measure. It is one of the few logical ways to handle over 8 million illegals that can't be simply rounded up and deported.
But for the most part, the problem started long before he took office, yet he is getting the brunt of the blame.
It is hard for me to understand how any thinking conservative can take such a hateful view of him in spite of all the good things he has done.

Don't complain to me that your rights are being stripped right in front of your eyes, and you're sitting there allowing it to happen.

Obviously you haven't had the opportunity to experience the way of life in other countries...say China?
Do it and your attitude toward the USA will change!
If not, perhaps your happiness and contentment is to be found outside of our borders.

I agree, it's a logical first step. I may not agree with it initially, but that doesn't mean I hate Bush for at least trying to fix a growing problem that has been largely ignored by previous administrations.

I was refering to the source of the article you posted a link to.Yes. It was an illogical, inaccurate, adolescent and superficial smear.
Such comments are also insulting to more thoughtful forum participants, so it is disrespectful as well.

The Constitution Party isn't so virtuous. I remember Howard Philips ads before the 2000 election. He was running against Bush, not Gore. I realized then Philips was no different than any other candidate. He was doing it for his own ego.

I call my GOP Congressman on a weekly basis, they know my by my first name in Washington. When I called to protest the "pork" spending bill that was being pushed through this past year, he thought I would be happy to know that he had added millions of dollars to the bill for our home town and surrounding cities, I let him know that I was not pleased with him for that, and that he had no Constitutional right to take tax dollars from taxpayers around the country to pay for local "pork".
He could care less what my opinion is on the issues, he is going to do what he wants just like every other career politician.

LOL!
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, - go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!

That sounds reasonable. /sarcasm
That brand of Congressman wouldn't get my vote from that point on, I don't care which party he/she belonged to.
To: BigSkyFreeper
I was not directly refering to you as hateful, just the other more aggressive types.
You show respect, which is protocol we all need to follow during these troubled times.....
