MamaB notified a friend through FReepmail that she lost her daughter Jan on Thursday evening, January 15. Jan has suffered from Crohn's disease and other illnesses for some time but this evening she started having seizures and had a heart attack. Jan was about 25 years old and has been ill since she was 18 or 19.

NAsbU 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, 3 inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked. 4 For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. 6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord-- 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight-- 8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Jan's passing... I've seen you mention her battle with health problems and always felt terrible that such a beautiful young lady had such a hard road to travel every day. This now must be agonizing for your family, especially Lynn :-(

I know we can't take this pain away and can only offer our tears shedding for Jan and your family and prayers asking God to bring you comfort and peace...

MammaB, I can't communicate to you my compassion and sympathy for your loss. I lost my beautiful son when he was 37. No matter the reason, the loss is devistating. We must believe they are in a much better place and will be there when we get there. The sense of loss never goes away, but the pain associated with the loss subsides with time. God Bless You and Heal You with His love.

The Huntsville Times has posted Jan's obituary on the website, and there is a guest book of condolences for any
who would want to leave messages there.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You have walked this day with this grieving family. In the midst of unspeakable anguish, touch each heart as only You can ... whisper to them that though Jan is out of their sight, she is in Your care. Watch over MamaB and her family tenderly, in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

MamaB has sent the following note for all of you ... may the Lord hold Mama and her family close to His loving heart ...

Hi,

The funeral was yesterday afternoon and was a wonderful heart touching service. Our senior pastor, Jan's old youth minister and the orchestra leader spoke, our grandson wrote a keyboard music piece and played it. At the cemetery, we had 3 doves released at once and then our granddaughter released a single one to symbolize Jan. The harpist who plays at special events played before and after the service. The orchestra played an arrangment of "Amazing Grace". She had so many friends and people whose lives she had touched. She is a peace now, no pain whatsoever. This has been the hardest thing we have ever had to do. Please pass this along. Thank everyone for their messages of love and support. When I get to feeling better, I want to print them all out.

Love ya, Bonnie
