The President had a very busy day today, leaving this morning for New Orleans, Louisiana, appearing first at a roundtable discussion on faith-based initiatives, then at Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church where he spoke to faith based and community leaders, and finally at a fundraising luncheon at the National D Day Museum.
He then traveled to Atlanta, Georgia where, accompanied by Coretta Scott King and King's daughter, Christine King Ferris, he placed a wreath on the tomb of Martin Luther King, Jr. on what would have been his 75th birthday, and this evening is at a fundraiser this evening with Democrat, Zell Miller, who will be campaigning for the Presidents reelection this year (Go, Zell!)
Enjoy this MUCH needed visit to Sanity Island as you revel in your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

oops, sorry. I read about this in a christian news service that I get emails from, that conservatives are worried about those two things and it said that some people were holding back their giving.

Words cannot express our sorrow at hearing your sad news. Please know that we are lifting you up in prayer, knowing that only God can provide the comfort and the peace that we all would love to wrap you in. May God be with you in the difficult days ahead. Lean on him and He will help you through each day.
*hugs*

About Dean's sleeping pills, I hadn't heard about that either, but I have had to take sleeping pills for 12 years straight. I am completely unable to fall asleep on my own. My sleep specialist told me I will never have a choice about it.
Anyway, what I wanted to say about Dean is that he probably would function just fine during the day, but GOD HELP US IF HE EVER HAD TO BE AWAKENED FOR A DECISION. I would imagine that a president has that happen all the time.
If the medicine is Ambien, he would say anything and would NEVER remember the incident.
It is truly frightening that a physician would think it would be okay to be president while on these things. I know he won't win, but good grief this guy's judgement is scary.

I'm glad you posted these pictures. He looks taller than I thought he was when he is standing at the podium. Do you know how tall he is?
I would just love to be able to see him in person someday.

Let's face it, the wheels have fallen off the wagon..
The man is positively RABID.
Whose gonna elect someone who admits that he is so reactionary, that he has to be restrained?
My brother was in Viet Nam, he didn't write or call for such a long time..we thought we had lost him..
Nobody here resorted to that kind of thing..
I hate the way he holds his jaw when he speaks..
I hate the "tightness" of his persona..
He had every priviledge handed to him..why is he so pissed off?
He has issues, and they run deep..it would seem that he has never dealt with them, and they manifest themselves now..
Issues must be dealt with as they come up, not allowed to fester..as they have been for sometime now, with Dean.
You must never enter office with an "I'll show them/I will prove them wrong' attitude, a chip on his shoulder..
It's coming back to haunt him..

With all due respect..
NOBODY and I mean NOBODY..should be on ANY medication for 12 years straight..Ambien is nasty..it hasn't helped a SINGLE one of my patients sleep through the night..they wander the halls at all hours...
You have been taking this JUNK for 12 years???
Your Sleep Specialist is an Idiot and a farce...nobody should encourage you to believe in pills..
I am outraged for you!!!
Honestly Babe..."W" is okay, it is YOUR Doctors judgement I am worried about...

He really worked on "letting himself go", IMHO. He's been stuffing his mouth, and I wish he'd do more of that in public. Oh my bad. Tch tch, I can my Mom's voice.
Sigh. He's probably exhibiting lots of "mourning" over having to pass the batton on to someone else. I truly believe that if the DNC would let him, he'd be running again. To which I can only say, thank goodness they haven't allowed the underling to the liar-in-chief to run again. I've had enough of those two for a lifetime. May they suffer the ignominy of absence of coverage, and may that happen soon.

You were right close to him, weren't you?
Volunteering does provide its advantages.
Did you get to shake his hand and look into his face?
Details, woman, we want DETAILS!!!

6th frmo bottom - we know from experience, that when the President leans on that podium, he's feeling mighty relaxed and comfortable with his audience.
Looks like he felt right at home in this Church, and was well received. I hope he added a few voters for the RNC today!
Thanks for posting them for us.

I'm sorry for the cause of your panic attacks. Sounds just awful. I can't imagine how angry I would be, to have someone attack me and people were there and they didn't come to my aid.
It's why I joined the Second Amendment Sisters. I pack - and I feel much better, knowing that if I have to, I can take care of myself. I've only had to use it twice, but each time, I protected myself and fended off evil.
