WASHINGTON (AdAge.com) -- Viacom's CBS today rejected a request from liberal group MoveOn to air a 30-second anti-President Bush ad during the Super Bowl, saying the spot violated the network's policy against running issue advocacy advertising.
Network policy A CBS spokesman said the decision against broadcasting the spot had nothing to do with either the Super Bowl or the ad's specific issue but was because the network has had a long-term policy not to air issue ads anywhere on the network.
A MoveOn spokesperson said the group hopes to appeal the decision within CBS.
Produced as a personal project by Charlie Fisher, creative director of the Copenhagen, Denmark, office of Publicis Groupe ad agency Leo Burnett, the spot is critical of the Bush administration's fiscal policies.
Anti-Bush contest MoveOn is airing a 60-second version the commercial, which was selected through a contest calling for anti-Bush ads, in advance of President Bush's State of the Union address Jan. 20. The group has purchased $300,000 worth of air time on Time Warner's CNN that starts Jan. 17 and runs through Jan. 21.

LOL. I was being facetious with my point and so I find your overreaction humorous. Soros is already a convincted criminal- it just needs to be highlighted that a criminal billionaire is influencing the outcomes of elections with money he earned from questionable dealings, including burying the Indonsesioan economy, and I think Americans with integrity will reject his overtures.
But if criminal charges emerge on Soros, I wouldn't be surprised nor would I shed a tear.

LOL. I was being facetious with my point and so I find your overreaction humorous. Okay, sometimes it's hard to tell whether people around here are being serious. I have to admit that I do the same thing sometimes.

I fear some evil may try to kill President Bush. I wish he would stay clear of crowds and be extra careful.

Just because of the halftime show ?? Sheesh, haven't you ever heard of a remote before? No, also because of what they did to the Reagans and what they did for Michael Jackson.
I take it you approve of all that?

Billy Sunday has already decided what beer to drink - ROOT beer
Meanwhile, is it too early for next years Super Bowl winner prediction?

The Titans are the NFL's winningest team since 1999.

I take it you approve of all that? Why? Just because I like football? Please. I'm surprised you even watch tv or movies or listen to any music. After all, the artists are mostly all liberal. Sometimes you need to divorce your politics from your entertainment. Or is that impossible for you?

Be suprised. I watch very little. It's their loss, not mine. It's the principle of the thing for me.

I heard Sean Hannity say that he was thinking about doing an anti liberal contest.
Personally I think he should go with a postive President Bush contest instead.
Just off the top of my head I can think of one to counteract the moveon winner.
A group of smiling children playing in a park, children visiting the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, and Liberty Bell with the the audio of, "Guess who will be safer because of the Presidents war on terrorism.
