Oh yes.
The sound of sucking air every time his mouth is open.
AL.F has depth, not unlike the vacum of space.

Actually, in this instance Franken is spot on - Rush does not do well at all in a one-on-one debate.
The point of all successful talk shows is the host. You do not listen to Rush to hear guests, or callers. You listen to listen to Rush. Rush learned that lesson very early on, and had to fight to get to do that.
And this is where Franken has already lost the game. His will be a puny little variety show, with a host trying to be funny. But Franken isn't and never was funny, nor particularly successful.

Franken was on a comedy cable show Monday or Tuesday, the talk show that Collin Quinn has. Sometimes it is funny, most times, not. Franken gave some of the obligatory neocommunist blather. Then, as the other folks bantered away, he seemed to withdraw as though he was able to comprehend what was happening around him.
My bet was that he was so coked he couldn't see straight. So, here's the deal. Franken gets on the air and is OK, but the pressure really begins to get to him. He does more and more drugs until finally, the left wingers have to recognize it. Al goes to rehab. Will any of the neocommunists say any of the things they said about Rush's rehab or even mention Al's rehab.
When you see Franken on TV, grit your teeth, hold the contents of your stomach and watch! Check me if he doesn't seem to be on some illegal substance. Would that improve his audience or lessen it?

"I give the buck toothed "erudite" 6 months before the plug gets pulled."
Fer sure. And he will not be picked up by more than 30-40 stations. And those will be in weak markets or big cities on 500 Watt daytime only stations.
There is a liberal NUT on a pay as you go station here in Phoenix (meaning, he has no sponsors and pays for his time out of his own pocket). At least he was on. What a maroon. 99% of his dribble was either inaccurate (lie) or unsupportable.

Anybody else think it's strange his book outsold O'Reilly's?
No, O'Reilly is a loser and a blowhard. Of course, so is Al Franken...

Yeah, right. What are you smoking?
All conservative are superior in debate, regardless if it's one-on-one or one against a crowd like the TV News shows do when they have 4 LIEberals and 1 conservative. It's got everything to do with the fact that we have the truth on our side and the LIEberal morons don't.
They'll pour money into the project just to save face, but radio requires advertisers, and Franken's show target market will be people who don't have two nickels to rub together and who want to blame the world because they're too lazy to get up off their butt and make something of themselves. People like that are not what advertisers want.

"He'll have the 'callers' planted because there's no way he can withstand a debate from a conservative."
Back in the 'good old days' when Larrrrry King was doing radio talk, I called to him 2-3 times. As soon as I posited statements (factual) that countered his liberal pap, he cut me off, calling me all sorts of names. It was sad but oh, so funny.
Never let a good ad hominem attack go unused!

The most interesting part of this show will be the leftist conspiracy theories that emerge to explain why it fails to attract an audience.

""I'll ask him advice: how he approaches a show, how he frames an issue. If it doesn't happen it will be very understandably because he won't take my call," Franken said."Oh, you betcha. Give it a try, Franken, and see what happens.

The network should be named MDR, for "Money Down a Rathole". I pity the investors in this loser. Franken's "show" will sink to the bottom faster than the Titanic, especially against Limbaugh.

A Marlboro, now that you axe...By the way, your response didn't really address the fact that Rush is not a debater.
