Matt Bennett is the Director of Communications at Clark for President. General Clark asked him to pass on this message to the online community and supporters.

General Clark is outraged! The New York Times and pundits on CNN have utterly distorted the facts about his statements regarding Iraq and al Qaeda.

Here are the facts: Wes Clark has always said that there was some link between al Qaeda and Saddam's intelligence agents. But he has also always maintained that there is NO evidence that Iraq was in any way responsible for 9/11 or for training or equipping al Qaeda operatives. He said that in 2002, and he is saying that today.

The New York Times and CNN have been hoodwinked by our opponents. They're just wrong about this.

Make your voice heard - take this information to other blogs (Democratic Underground, Daily Kos, Free Republic, etc.), to your friends and family, to other news media. Make sure that the FACTS can catch up with the distortion. They may buy their ink by the barrel, but you can help us fight back.

Now that would be great. I could ask him about his swimming laps in the morning. That is one (and only one) thing that is pretty cool about Clark. He swims a half mile to a mile every morning. That's tough to do.

It just came to me, Jan-Michael Vincent!

Oh no. I was a stand-in for him in an MGM movie, "Going Home" - 1971, filmed here in Pittsburgh. He could be an intense looking guy, but what an egotist and a horrible actor.

Brenda Vaccaro and Robert Mitchum were fun though, everyone was always getting stoned. Mitchum would come to the set wasted from the night before, but would never miss a line. BTW, it was one of the worst movies ever made.

Wonder how many decided to get the courage to say anything last night after I went offline?
Of course, in my personal experience, Clark supporters either say nothing about him out of abject error, er.. terror or they vehemently deny his actions in the Balkans, or anywhere else.
Basically, they either do the silent mouse act, or suddenly develop Clinton Unrecalled Scene Syndrome compounded by Napoleon Attitude Possession.

The little woman wants to go downtown today. It took me forever last night to figure out why she wants to go downtown. Finally when she said 'president', I realized she wants to go to the Sixth Floor. They made a museum out of the old school book depository where Oswald fired the shots at Kennedy. Mings son and friends went there a while back, so now my wife wants to go too.

So if I'm a little scarce today, ya'll will know why ...

Took my Mom there the last time she visited OK and we went to Dallas for the day. Really interesting exhibit -- went away believing more than ever that Oswald did not act alone. When you get back from the exhibit, I want to ask your reaction to something.
