A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Celebrate Living...

Today we are featuring suggestions, observations and reminders on how to live a happy and rewarding life. Most are excerpts from "Life's Little Instruction Book" by H. Jackson Brown, Jr. I strongly recommend the books...there now being 3 volumes. If possible, please click on the music link below (Africa). We guarantee the combination will make you feel good all day. Enjoy!

Hi TMan, this is the kind of tree one gets when they wait to the last minute.
I tried to get $10 off the price of the tree, they wouldn't even give my a $1 off.
It was a beautiful tree :-)

Enening dutchess. Just stopping in say hey "flygirl". This thread is a GR8 message. It's the kind of article I would love to see printed in the daily. Thanks for the chance for a little self reflection too.

Thanks for the ping Aqua. I saw that somewhere else today. Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. Subway sandwiches, Burger King bunless hamburgers, low carb spagetti......America is going to get slimmer.

A side note, last week I went to McDonalds (a once in a blue moon treat) Ordered 2 cheeseburgers and a small fry. Got home, looking forward to my treat. Opened up my cheeseburger and LOL....there was no burger...just cheese on a bun. I figured PETA was up to no good!

Sistah, I know you're not here now, but want to say hi anyway and tell you that your description of your drive was so graphic I could see the cotton and it's been many years since I've seen cotton. One of my earliest memories is of pulling a cotton sack and picking cotton. Sometimes I miss the South with a deep longing. Hope you had a good day. Remember: I love you bestest.

LOL. Poor baby. No beef. My diet consists of beef only and no bun. I've lost so much weight I'm beginning to wrinkle.

Thought I was the only late "survivor" here.

I've gotten everyone tucked in here and was trying to locate, on the net, an AP article that showed up in my paper tonight. No luck. Maybe I'll just type it out and post it over in chat. Seems Hillary wants the Government to build a nationwide electronic health record system.

That's interesting. I was working at the Tourism Center today and got a call from someone wanting to "book" the Orance County Choppers into one of our events. First I had ever heard of them and wondered why we should book them. Any ideas?

Yeah, I saw that too, but I don't recall where. That's not all she's doing. She's running for president and already has $325 million in spite of campaign finance reform. Clark is her Manchurian candidate and if Dean continues to look like a winner he will be destroyed. Mark it down and don't forget you heard it here first (maybe second).
