[history]
January 12, 2004 -- It's the all-new Baghdad Bob - he's cleaned up his act, dyed his hair and he's back on the air. Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, the Iraqi minister of disinformation who became famous for his absurd daily reports that Iraq was winning the war, has popped up on Arab television as a commentator - as these new exclusive photos show.

I've said many times that CPA Baghdad should have hired this guy. I'm just the computer guy though, so what do I know?

He's still funny as hell. Good thing he hasn't changed and is back better than ever. Those new quotes are instant classic one liners!

I guess the advantage of being the one posting an article is that you get to be the first one who can post the punch line, LOL.
I am sure CNN is already in talks with him, trying to hire him away -- or maybe he is already working for CNN, writing their news for their anchors. ;)

I hope this guy continues to get the attention he so desperately craves, and that once the new Iraqi government is formed, and formal ties are made with other countries, including extradition treaties, that on the day of the inauguration of the first freely elected President (if they choose that designation), the first executive order is to extradite Baghdad Bob back to his home country so he can do an up close and personal narration of his own trial.

HE'S BAA-ACK!

August 11 - The LA Times reports that the Iraqi military was itself fooled by the creative reporting of furloughed Iraqi Information Minister Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf (M.S.S.): "After the information minister claimed that Iraqi forces had retaken the Baghdad airport from U.S. troops, two former commanders said, Republican Guard Gen. Mohammed Daash was dispatched to check out a rumor that four or five American tanks had survived the Iraqi counterattack. Daash returned to his headquarters in a panic. "Four or five tanks!'' the commanders quoted Daash as telling his fellow generals. "Are you out of your minds? The whole damn American Army is at the airport!'' "

No he is under contract with the BBC.
To: kattracks
They really should tag him to be a guest host on Saturday Night Live...or better yet, to anchor the SNL weekend news updates.

Strangely, I find the guy on the right easier to believe.

CNN got him a job in Abu Dhabi to cleanse the outer layer of suspicion. He is still expected to go to the CNN big time after a short stint on a farm team.

In the majority of the world (and among Leftists in the US) Baghdad Bob's pronouncements were taken as gospel truth.

How long before he's courted by the big four (ABCNNBCBS) here?He would make a great co-host for Paula Zahn; a liar and a bitch on wheels...
Or maybe MSNBC could have him as Deborah Norville's co-host!
Just damn.
