Although I don't know who wrote this, I do know people who have experienced some of these things. Particularly the uninsured motorist, the inability of the police to contain and control the areas where illegals live, and the most outrageous bit; illegals get free medical that American citizens are denied (but must pay through their taxes for the illegals' free care). Also, illegals have a well organized network that gets them housing, government assistance, jobs, etc.
Many poor American citizens often don't even know where to go to sign up for the little that they are eligible to receive.

Some years ago there was a sign up on the wall at the main airport in Puerto Rico, directing people to the welfare office in Fitchburg, MA., complete with details on what freebees you'd get. But that was when Dukakis was gov. and handing out thousands of social security cards to illegals. Hey, wait a minute. Isn't that exactly what the feds are heading toward? Where did we go wrong???

Interestingly enough we were sued by an "immigrant" when my husband rearended him going about 5 miles an hour at "rush hour" in Atlanta even though he was making an illegal turn. He had a lawyer the next morning and claimed huge wage losses until they asked for last years tax return which he couldn't produce. Fortunately, the suit had to be brought to our county which is very conservative and the jury told him to take a walk. The big lawsuit lottery will be coming to your town soon.

Illegal immigration is a problem but here is the flip side of the coin, i.e. we created this mess with the government welfare state.
1. In South Dallas, thousands sit on their lazy asses doing absolutely nothing except living off the government dime (a little drug dealing, prostitution, robbery, etc.) while waiting for some sleazeball trial lawyer to win their frivolous shakedown suits against some doctor, manufacturer, or the local McDonalds for making them too fat.
2. In the rural areas surrounding Dallas, the lower class sits on its collective ass while drawing worker's comp., unemployment comp., or waiting for that personal injury suit to settle. However, they're happy to take that money to blow on cigarettes, the lotto, and Friday and Saturday nights out drinkin' and two-steppin'.
3. In North Dallas, Plano, Frisco, etc., tens of thousands of jobs paying $8 to $15 an hour are filled by illegal immigrants from Mexico, Central and South America. Why? Because the people in #1 and #2 above are "too good" for these types of jobs. While the professional victims are crying about circumstances the immigrants are filling positions for which the "victims" simply won't even take the time to complete an application or interview.
I have no problem with a legal guest worker program provided (a) they are not entitled to welfare and other government handouts, (b) they cannot bring kids with them to burden the public school system, (c) they cannot marry a U.S. citizen without a rigorous background check (at their expense) to ensure that the marriage is not a fraud, (d) any children born in the U.S. are not entitled to automatic U.S. citizenship, (e) a guest worker cannot bring either friends or family to the U.S., (f) there is a 25-year moratorium on non-English speaking immigrants while assimilation occurs, (g) there is an effective deportation system in place, and (h) immigration is based solely on what the immigrant can bring to the U.S. in terms of education, skills, and assets. As for the guest worker program, I'd require Mexico to abandon Spanish as its official language and make English a mandatory second language in its school system. I'd also require Mexico to abandon its no-extradition policy that it uses with glee to harbor fugitives from U.S. justice.
However, I do have a BIG problem with lazy-ass no account native born trash of all races and ethnic backgrounds who live off of the taxpayer while whining about immigrants.

I have had no medical insurance for years and years. I can't afford it. At 33, I got cancer. My doctor told me to go to ACCHS. I don't remember how to spell the state's medical system, since they declined me. My husband 's company had no profit in 6 months, due to theft, and lack of laws at the time to force general contractor's to pay . Without studying my receipts, I was declined. Interesting that the hundreds of illegal Mexicans standing in line, were being given food stamps, and medical care. They did not have social security numbers, and did not speak English. If you don't believe me, look at the application DES uses yourself, spend 5 minutes at DES and remind yourself why you pay taxes. You won't leave smiling. 2 years ago, I announced to my family there would be no turkey for Thanksgiving. We would eat pasta and be thankful we were a family. My Catholic friend made arrangements for me to get a food box from her church. I went, reluctantly. I drove up in my broken old van, and saw a lot full of new (stickers still attached), suburbans. My van was the worst vehicle there, and it hit me that I really was poor! I stood in line for 20 minutes amazed at the number of Mexicans taking box after box of food. When it was my turn, I had to show ID. I was told to leave. There wasn't enough food for me to take a box. I looked around- there were boxes of food everywhere! For a minute I forgot I was White, and in their eyes, not deserving.
This stuff sounds like a load of hooey. And I'm anti-illegal and against the proposal by Bush.

"Some years ago there was a sign up on the wall at the main airport in Puerto Rico, directing people to the welfare office in Fitchburg, MA., complete with details on what freebees you'd get."
The details probably included a 'special' list of names of doctor's to see and the forms to take to sign up for all the extra financial assistance available if you can prove some sort of disability.

You are aware of what country Puerto Ricans are citizens of, right?

Absolutely unbelievable. I've heard countless stories like this, just not to this extent. The more I hear, the more outraged I become. Whenever I speak my mind about the illegals (which tends to be often), I am told I'm a racist, which is of course the lefties first and only response. When you tell them stories like this one, they claim it's "propaganda". I think it's about time, we as a people slap their collective butt w/ our collective hand. Enough is enough. p.s. I feel another civil war on the horizon

From the website of the guy who pledged himself to a three-term term limit & recently announced he's running for his fourth term...the guy who wanted to see an honor student deported....the public servant who then refused to be interviewed by newspapers about his actions regarding that student.

I'm with you, dirtboy. Very much anti-illegal, very disappointed in Bush's plan, in fact I'd be happy enough if they just shot illegals as soon as they set foot here. But -- but -- this woman's story sounds like something out of "Queen For A Day." It doesn't sound like she has a single good moment in her life. I don't normally recommend suicide as an option, but in this case it might be an improvement. Sheesh.

There's an unfortunate history of things that people get really outraged about turning out to be fraudulent in orgin. Especially a lot of e-mail legends, etc.
This supposedly was an e-mail to Tancredo but there's no way of verifying whether any of it is true or it's authentic.
