Aaron Weaver fought to serve in Iraq, battled cancer, then died when Army helicopter went down in Iraq
Above all things, Chief Warrant Officer Aaron Weaver was a survivor. As a 22-year-old sergeant, Weaver was part of the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu in Somalia where 18 U.S. Army soldiers lost their lives.
The fight was chronicled in the movie Blackhawk Down.
In Mogadishu, Weaver's vehicle took a direct hit from a rocket-propelled grenade, but he wasn't injured.
He later spoke in a television documentary about his experience and on seeing one of the Black Hawks crash.
And you could see a helicopter just lose that thrust when it hit the tail rotor and started spinning around ... and I lost it behind that building, Weaver said.
Later, Weaver earned his wings as an army aviator in Iraq, piloting a Kiowa Warrior helicopter battling Iraqi guerrillas while also fighting testicular cancer.
"He was an Army Ranger. Tough mentally and tough physically," said Mike Weaver, Aaron Weaver's father.

America lost another of it's heroes when this young man was killed in battle. We pray for him and his family. And for America too.
No other country on earth could produce such men and women. They honor us all with their service.

He leaves behind a wife and 1-year-old daughter. And he had cancer, but got a waiver signed to allow him to go to Iraq. Your question is a good one. RIP Aaron.

sad indeed...another one of our Mogadishu brothers falls-it is one thing to answer the call- but to answer it again, knowing full well the risks...that is the mark of a hero...

Prof. Nicholas De Genova of Columbia University said in public that he 'wishes a million Mogadishus' upon US troops, that US troops live an indecent life and that Israel has no heritage to the holocaust -- 272 days, No apology and he still has a job. This man should be checked for Al Qaeda ties. I wouldn't doubt he is an active agent for them.
The left is evil for a living. The left hates America.

The hard core of Sherman's Army were volunteers. Without volunteers on each side, the war would have not continued.

This man should be checked for Al Qaeda ties. I wouldn't doubt he is an active agent for them. The left is evil for a living. The left hates America. I wouldn`t doubt it either if he has Al Qaida ties. The left to me right now is a greater threat to this country then Al Qaida could ever hope to be, and Al Qaida could only take lessons from the true masters who hate and fight against freedom in this country on a daily basis. Let`s not forget how incredibly infested the media is by the liberal vermin that deny they even exist in the media. Rush Limbaugh is being investigated and destroyed on a daily basis for simply becoming addicted to prescription medication for a back injury and hes just a freggin` radio announcer, yet Ted Kennedy who is a US Senator is a full blown bonafide alcoholic who for the past few months has shown on a number of occasions that he doesn`t even know what he`s voting on. Where is the outrage over that? Where is the outrage over the increasingly bizarre behavior by this man who has been Senator for 40 years?? Where are the investigations? Why doesn`t the press focus on why this guys face is more blown out more and more every month than the worst bum in the Bowery? Because he`s liberal, and liberals could care less when something affects this country for the worst. All that matters to them is getting power and pushing ideals and dreams that are usually reserved for psychotics. Like my tagline says...(although you can skip the Saddam part. The protests supporting him have already started)
