Email/Letter writing campaign against The President's plan for immigration
Myself

Has anybody started an email/letter writing campaign in response to the president's proposed immigration initiative?
We need to show the president that he can't take advantage of his conservative base.

He has long abandoned his conservative base and instead pandering to minorities. Im sure Bush is assuming that there will be no 3rd party candidate to siphon off his conservative base, but he is very wrong. Many conservatives will vote Libertarian or Constitution Party out of disgust over this issue.

"After their done working they'll go home. "......by what means? After 3 years, how will they be repatrioted? ..Their repatriotion will not be able to be enforced as politicians say that illegals can't 'deported' now..are they to return of their own volition?

tom tancredo looks like the only man in congress willing to fight illegal immigration Youre right about Tancredo
. And if Tancredo announces a presidential campaign as a 3rd party independent, Bush drops this Immigration nonsense about 20 minutes later.

According to CWO, your grandparents and you and many of us were stupid. All we had to do was sit around and whine and we could have been in the free lunch club too. As a matter of fact why should we worry about doing anything in a legal fashion?

One more ray of hope ... do not EVER think that the direction, support, expectations, trust, empowerment and resources that Bush gives to Andy Card, Condi Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, Tom Ridge, John Ashcroft, Dick Myers and George Tenet isn't being given to every other Agency director throughout his organization. Guys like Tommy Thompson, Mel Martinez, Spence Abraham etc etc. Governors, Senators, Judges, Generals .... it's a great organization.
These professionals are dedicated, loyal and effective. HUD, Interior, Energy, Education ... they've got their marching orders, they're executing them under the radar, and conservative work is BEING DONE! When any of Bush's managers start working their own programs ... like Paul O'Neal, Christy Whitman and Karen Hughes ... they're GONE! In a nanosecond.
We're kicking butt and taking names. As conservatives. That's why every liberal pol, media monkey and PALEO imposter on FR hates that nice, hard working Patriotic man from Crawford.

"A bold move by a bold President." Nothing bold about it. Its a calculated move to get the Hispanic vote which he won't get anyway.
As for me and my house, we will be starting a e-mail and letter writing campaign to tell W. to scrap the plan. And really shut off the leaky sieve of our borders by putting the Nat'l Guard out there to patrol it.

Unfortunately, W.
is doing a good job on the WOT. Pretty much nothing else, but that.
Considering the alternatives (9 dwarves), we have no choice but to support him.
Karl Rove was right. There is no place for conservatives to go.

I certainly won't be repeating that mistake come November. I'm gonna sit this one out. Me, and upwards of 80% of the constituency. I urge you not to sit out the election but to cast a vote for a third party. Part of Rove's power over Bush is the perception that uncast votes are claimable from the "middle" - thus propelling the Republican Party steadily to the left. If the country is ever to swing back to the right, it is critical that the pubs see documented VOTES and MONEY to the right. The sad truth is that it is power - not principle - that drives the Republican Party.

Quick, Arne, turn on Fox! The estimable Mr. Tancredo is going to give us his expert opinion!
What's your over and under on his appearances today?
To: AdequateMan
Well, hey, I can get $10,000 an hour by holding up my local bank - why not? Illegal, smeagal, who cares?
To: Miss Marple
TV and Radio appearances? 25 - 30!
Just think MM, if only his efforts to craft anti-illegal immigration legislation as a highly paid House Rep didn't interfere with his busy anti-illegal immigration media schedule (and carefully crafted, and potentially higher payday lecture tours, book contracts, paid personal appearances and FR grassroots Presidential campaigns).
What immovable object is going to stop this Tancredo FR irresistable juggernaut? MM ... he's the only politician in America who really "gets it"!
Tancredo in 2004! The fat faced Buchanan/McCain/Whoever media anti-Bush.
To: ArneFufkin
E.D. on Fox to Tom: "Tom, I know how much this means to you."
HA!
To: ArneFufkin
Be happy to.

In mordern American politics it looks like voting for the party that stands against one's political positions is the strategic choice: While in power that party seeks to increase votes from the opposition electorate by supporting their positions, while taking for granted most of their "base". After all, where can their base go?

I'm buying you a bottle of Dom Perignon if he appears on the covers of Time, Newsweek and U.S. World Report the same week like McLame did in 2000!*
I figure the odds on that wager is a suprising 6-1, considering the desperation of the Manhattan Media syphlitics right now.
Tom Tancredo. PFFFFTTTT ..... The stooge went down to Arizona to show up McCain, Kolbe, Flake and Kyl on their proposal. And HE'S quoted as having the schwing to stop the Bush/Delay/Hastert proposal from going through Congress?
That's what passes as a "Paleoconservative" hero these days.

This will entice yet more to come swarming over the borders, it undermines the laws, and it spits in the faces of those immigrants who followed the rule of law to emmigrate to our country.
