Just the usual oxymoron!
All kidding asdie tho, those men and women deserve credit for their dedication. It must have been difficult to say the least.
Clearly these so called 'threats' are part of the scheme to destabilize our sense of safety.

Any idea what "call 19" signifies? Is that perhaps referencing the 19 hijackers?

Maybe the scientists 'disguised as normal people' had hidden their pocket protectors from view.

Gee, all they have to do is give the bomb a bath and the problem is solved.

I'm as concerned that someone wasn't already searching for the radium pellet as I am about a dirty bomb. The radium would have made a nasty little dirty bomb itself in the wrong hands. There must be legally required accountability for that stuff and I would favor stiff criminal charges for whoever lost that thing if they can be found.
Also, the homeless guy should be looking under the nearest rock for a lawyer. While I don't approve of frivolous lawsuits, but this is clearly way above and beyond that classification.

The scientists were disguised as normal citizens Isn't there a joke there somewhere? LOL Does that mean they wore socks that matched?

The first think that came to mind with "0" hour is midnight and I view the statement as a direct command not as some notion.

If the Al-Qaeda plots are all as "serious" as the plot to use explosives to "trigger" a volcano or a fault line, we have little to fear from these clowns. I think they're yanking our collective chain with the intent of "de-sensitizing" us to a future ("conventional") terrorist attack, or simply creating fear and insecurity (e.g. on Wall Street). Bin Laden (or whoever is running his organization) may be a homicidal maniac, but he is intelligent enough to know that in the event of a "successful" WMD/Nuke attack on this country there will be no sanctuary for him anywhere.

Sounds like the scene in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" where the patients go on the fishing trip and pass as doctors!

A nuke might cause quite a rumble. Three or four nukes might really shake things up. AQ is reported to have about
20 suitcase nukes but then we will have to just wait and see what happens.

If a somewhat harmless cigar-sized pellet of radium in Las Vegas can generate that much excitement with our domestic anti-terrorism forces...then I feel a little bit safer this morning. It makes a more pointed inference with respect to the sensitivity of the NEST teams' equipment.

Only in Las Vegas did the needles spike inside a storage unit on December 29. The radiation, it turned out, came from a cigar-size radium pellet -- used to treat cancer -- that a homeless man had found and stashed away among his meager belongings, the officials said. The homeless man, whose identity was not disclosed, assisted authorities in their search and was not arrested.
They thought the dirty bum had a dirty bomb....

Does that mean they wore socks that matched? No, it just means that they wore black socks with their black pants and black shoes.
