Your post to American Spirit was snide. Illegal aliens who commit violent crimes and illegal aliens who do not commit violent crimes in the USA still fall into exactly the same category -- lawbreakers. Illegal aliens' thumbing of their noses at criminal, medical and economic background checks ALONE are enough to make any sane citizen place illegal immigration at the top of the list of major dangers to this nation.
I am working overseas right now, and I can assure you that there are many unfriendly countries' governments around the world who are more than happy to see the type of naive attitude displayed by you and Lead Moderator. The real racists are the advocates supporting illegal immigration, but let's not dare discuss that dirty little secret on Free Republic.

BOOM! I didn't want to get started with CJ, (I didn't want to get put on the 'probationary watch list', hehe) but you have nailed it. I suspect CJ is here to incite argument for argument's sake, and to be contrarian. Check his home page. He seems to be against an awful lot. What exactly he's for remains a mystery.
LM was being way too patient with him on a thread where he was trying to see how far he can push the envelope of conversation. I mean, it's amazing that he would start the very crap that LM wrote about in the post.

Boy, did this thread go to hell in a handbasket after I went to bed last night.
First off, Joe, as you have undoubtably noticed, you were suspended when I woke up this morning. If you are looking for a pissing contest with some strange desire to martyr yourself, that is completely up to you. I am not going to avoid it just because I suspect that is your intention.
I am now down to post 219 in that thread, and to be honest, the ones who were causing that thread to degenerate were you three and I am calling you out on it. The warning was posted at the top of the thread to tone it down, yet all three of you were pedal to the metal in absurd ways. An "active conspiracy to nullify our sovereign borders" by Bush? Come on Seven, some bit of sanity and proportion in posting is not too much to ask for. Of course Joe was going to echo that. I should have figured as much. And then you WRhine, upping the thought to treason while echoing it yet again? I feel like I am taking crazy pills here.
Then we get Seven talking about another Civil War? No thanks. I also saw you working to get wet back in there. Also no thanks. Same to the idea that all of their children are theives. And same to the personal attacks.
The way that thread evolved is not going to be happening on Free Republic in the near future. If you plan on posting on threads in the same manner that you did there, then the result will be a removal of your account. If you can figure out a way to keep your lesser impulses in check, then that end result can be avoided.
Regards

See this thread for an example of how threads should not go, and will not go in short order.
If you read that thread (and use some imagination for the pulled posts) and think this is the way you like threads going, then odds are you are going to be unhappy in the future, and you may want to reconsider if you belong here.
Thanks. LM

Does this mean Michelle pics are too "hot" to post with her articles?

The real racists are the advocates supporting illegal immigration, but let's not dare discuss that dirty little secret on Free Republic.
First of all, no one here (except perhaps principled Libertarians) supports illegal immigration, just as no one supports drug abuse or the initiation of force with guns. Secondly, it is not racism to oppose the non-conservative attitude of tribal justice. People deserve to be judged as individuals, based upon the content of their character, not as members of some larger, different group. That is true justice, and conservatives are big on justice.

Every man? Every woman? Every child? All violent felons? That is being bigoted, friend. Yep, they're ALL guilty of scoffing at American immigration laws.
And I'm not your friend.

Lose that tagline.
To: skeeter
First of all, friend, the issue was violent actions, such as rape and robbery. You came up with the ridiculous statement speculating that undocumented immigrants might be ALL guilty. We are ALL guilty of something, at the very least of original sin. But the issue was violent crime, not misdemeanor border-crossing.

"IMHO Until Jorge Delano Bush"
There is a flag on the play.
There is no question that your reply there was designed to show disrespect for the President. It came through loud and clear. However, it is needlessly instigative. Do you honestly think you will convince anyone who is on the fence to agree with you by calling the President Jorge? Or was your entire point just to piss off Bush supporters?
Just so WE understand one another I aint your typical bootlicking RINO Bush apologist here. So maybe next time you'll read what is written instead of what your whining sorry assed RINO behind the scene friends want to read into it. You go off on a rant about how you are attempting to calm the debate when in fact you are nothing more than an apologist for the Bush amnesty doctrine being tested and promoted on this site as we speak.
Second, I didn't us the name Jorge Delano Bush for the first time in this thread NOR will I stop using it.
Fact is BUSH EARNED IT. He has created and spent more on social programs and than ANY Democrat EVER! The Anmesty BS is just another in a long list of Democrat sellouts this President has entertained to buy votes.
When he decides to act like a Conservative I'll address him as one, until then if the shoe fits... If it pisses off the Bush Supporters than I suggest they look at what they are supporting rather than putting Party before Principle. After all isn't that what the Mission statement is on the front of FR?
Or are we now engaging in thought Policing here on FR?
Given the actions over the past year or two, I wouldn't doubt it.
Cheers!

I have seen too many posts which advocate "shoot shovel and shutup"The problem isn't with the posts, or least with most of them, that you point out. The problem is with your eyes. You tend to see "shoot, shovel, and shutup" in every post that you disagree with on this topic. Then you're howling like a cat with sandpaper-and-turpentine butt, smacking the abuse button, and singing your indignation to the sorry stars.
I have my own flaws, but I don't deny or minimize them. And I don't strike up the band and dance the beer barrel polka on the abuse button every other post.

Well, they can't force people to be friends. Nor can they enforce reading comprehension, apparently.

Here's two recent posts on an immigration thread, Kevin. Let me know whether you think these sorts of posts do the conservative cause any good.
Post #1: "I am NOT going to vote. I am going to stay home and play Delta Force 2, pretending I am a border guard shooting at illegal crossers."
Post #2: "Raid cargo containers, sweatshops, construction sites and tortilla houses with an MP-5 and grenades. Save America!"

But sometimes I cringe, worried their first introduction to FR will be some flame war. Introduce your friends/family to the political newsgroups on usenet. FR will seem like the bridge club at the old folks home after that.
That said, I think a lot of us worry about immigration (specifically illegal) because of the national security implications (lawbreaking aside) and because at times these issues seem to be an effort by the administration to court liberal voters. I don't like the issue for those two reasons.
