SIMON WIESENTHAL CENTER CRITICIZES MOVEON.ORG FOR POSTING AD COMPARING BUSH TO HITLER
The Simon Wiesenthal Center sharply criticized MoveOn.org for accepting and posting an ad comparing President George Bush to Adolf Hitler.
Politics and preparing for a presidential election is one thing, but comparing the Bush Administrations fight against Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein with the policies of Adolf Hitler is shameful and beyond the pale and has no place in the legitimate discourse of American politics, said Rabbi Marvin Hier, the Centers dean and founder.
This ad is not about Democrats or Republicans - it is about lies and a distortion of history, he added.
MoveOn.org was right to pull the ad but they should apologize for not using better judgment in posting it in the first place, Hier concluded.
The Wiesenthal Center is one of the largest international Jewish human rights organizations with over 400,000 member families in the United States. It is an NGO at international agencies including the United Nations, UNESCO, the OSCE, and the Council of Europe.
For more information, contact the Centers Communications Department, 310-553-9036.

It'll be interesting to see if Al Gore denounces this anti-semitic rhetoric that he's recruited.

I am telling you the GOP will get a big chunk of the Jewish vote come November.

I've warned of people using the horrors of the Holocaust or slavery and comparing it to recent events for political gain was evil.
I guess some people just have to keep pushing buttons until they get slapped down - real hard - by Simon Wiesenthal Center no less - the very organization that has been hunting down Nazis for decades.
To: mware
Oh yeah. BIG TIME.
Hopefully, it won't be a one-time phenomenon for the Republican Party.

I just visited MoveOn and was directed to the site for the political ads.
One must admit that they have an impressive panel of judges:
Micheal Stipe, Jessica Lange, stinkylookingfatas -- oh, I'm sorry, Micheal Moore, Al Franken, Eddy Bedwetter -- I'm sorry, Vedder.
It's a varitable who's who of the best of our county's great celebrity intellect.
BTW, my father and my wife's grandfather fought in WWII. Anyone, I don't care who, who uses the image of Hitler for their own personal/political gain is an a$$hole in my book, and has insulted every American who served.

I hope they keep using strategy like this. The only voters this type of thing will appeal to are the hard left, and those votes are secure for the dems already. Such tactics will only be a turn off to swing voters, I would think.
To: Roberts
Rabbi, the democrats are about lies. The more Dean tells obvious bald lies the higher his support with the rank and file demonRats.

NOW I hope the Jewish people throughout America who traditionally vote for the RATS will consider what has just transpired and see this for what it was.

Undoubtedly this Rabbi is a liberal who cannot see beyond his brainwashing...This is precisely about DemocRATS or Republicans. This is about the neo-Commie anti-semite left supporting and coddling Islamofascists and sympathizing with the internal and external enemy.

Micheal Stipe - His band R.E.M. took the last decade to see just how badly they could suck. His musical career is over & I am guessing he stays the hell out of Athens, GA where some UGA frat boys would kick is sorry a**.
Jessica Lange - Remind me, what was the last successful movie she made? "Big Fish" has a lot of buzz, but her reviews aren't exactly glowing. Still, it is a little sad that the ex-girlfriend of "King Kong" is such a complete loon.
Micheal Moore - Oscar winner Moore. He made so much money by taking the horrific story of children being murdered and then lying about it . I hope you like the smell of brimstone Michael, because you are going to burn in hell for sure.
Al Franken - Quick, what do you do when you are not funny anymore? You write political books that you claim to be "satires". Remember folks, "satire" is the legal word for "I am lying here and I don't want to get sued." Al, I hope that Brian Kilmeade from Fox & Friends kicks your sorry butt next time. Now, go back to doing "Stewart Saves His Family Part 2 - Electric Bugalloo."
Eddy Vedder - Remember that last CD Pearl Jam put out that was so good???? You remember - it was 1994 . Eddy, it is over now. Cut your hair, take a shower, and get a real job selling me my drinks at Starbucks. That way, when you cop an attitude about what a rock star you are I will just shake my head and withhold your tip. Oh by the way Eddy - read the Constitution before you try to tell a crowd of people what it says. The First Amendment says the government can't make a law to shut you up. All of us who booed your sorry a** were not violating that. We were just expressing ourselves. We get to do that. Oh, and for the record, the song "Bushleague" sucked... hard.
