[history]
An Indianapolis family kept vigil Tuesday awaiting news of two brothers they say are wrongly being held in the Philippines for suspected ties to terrorists.
"This is like a (bad) dream," said Pamela Stubbs Thornton, a sister of the detained men, Michael Ray Stubbs and Jamil Daud Mujahid.

I bolded some things of interest. There seems to be a discrepancy about when he joined the Black Panthers vs. when he became anti-American.
Also, I wonder why their wives cannot legally enter the USA.
Finally, I can think of a real good reason why the Phillippines would let him and his brother have a cell phone. HA!

Could you please correct my spelling of "Philippines"? Thanks!
To: Miss Marple
Done. Happy New Year! :)

Look here! Indianapolis connection to those guys arrested in the Philippines, and information on their background, including Black Panthers (and, I suspect, the Nation of Islam).

Thank you so much! Happy New Year to you, as well!

I can see the reporter asking her to spell that about ten times. He then had to spell it for his copy editor. HA!

"I have never, ever advocated overthrowing the government. I have never, ever advocated hurting anyone. It's never been about black or white or Christian or Muslim; it's just about human needs. That's all. And I would never go to any extreme to accomplish that. I detest violence." Mujahid also stated that he didn't think there was anything wrong with sharing a bed with terrorists, that he considered it a very loving and generous thing to do, and that no one could make him stop.

I found it interesting that everyone at the facility where they are being kept has been given a cell phone.
I think the Filipinos are being very smart. And those who use those phones are very stupid.
To: Miss Marple
Well Good Grief! I wonder if you danced with them at a Sock Hop?
To: Iowa Granny
I doubt it, since they dropped out of high school. They grew up on the west side, and I don't think I knew anyone from there when I was in high school.
Plus I am pretty certain I knew no Black Panthers.
To: Miss Marple
I saw a black panther at a zoo once.

Was it McVeigh or his partner in the OKC bombing who had a Phillipino wife? Neat (but now overused way) to cover trips to the Phillipines to meet with terrorists.
To: the Real fifi
That's what I was thinking. It seems odd that BOTH these brothers would divorce and subsequently marry Filipino women at about the same time.
And why couldn't the wives come to the US? Terry Nichols (the partner of McVeigh) had a Filipino wife who lived here...they went back to visit relatives.

"Also, I wonder why their wives cannot legally enter the USA."
I have a DIL who is from the Philippines - she had to submit a detailed application and go through an interview process which can take several months. On this end, my son had to provide a lot of background info and show income for several years - it's possible that some might not want to submit this info for various reasons.
I think you are correct about the cell phones.....let 'em talk all they want. LOL!

Thanks for posting this and pinging.
Yesterday, I posted about them possibly being BP's as well as NOI's.
Certain patterns keep emerging with these characters.
Of course we should remember that $inator Hildebea$t worked as a newbee lawyer defending murderin Black Panthers in her early career as a traitor to America.
Will we eventually read about an al Fuqra connection with these traitors?
