" Most "Believers" (in whatever religion), simply don't understand, or think about, their religion very deeply." This is the arrogant conceit of the Objectivists. This is THEIR belief. It's not true.

Not true, why, Mr. Sauropod? An Objectivist will always provide his reasoning in discourse. Can you likewise furnish yours?

Excuse me? What bible is this guy reading?

Absolutely.
It's not up to me to disprove an obvious lie.

Most people don't really understand what Christianity means by "God". They have no idea that the concept makes no sense, as their religion teaches it. I didn't get very far past this statement since it's obvious that Henry doesn't really know what Christianity teaches about G-d.
Speaking for myself, I know full well how bloody the Bible is, but the evil in it does not come from G-d. Mostly, it comes from man. And it is hard to match the evil done by atheistic men (which is not to say that theistic men haven't tried).
Shalom.

An Objectivist will always provide his reasoning in discourse Your statement is demonstably false. In the posted article, the author arrogantly states that most Believers do not understand, or even think about their religion. Does he provide his reasoning? Facts? Statistics? Anything? No. He just states his opinion in an obnoxious manner. Try this one:
Most Objectivists do not understand the philosophy of Ayn Rand. Does this statement bother you?

Further, the writer makes the assumption that us conservatives are not familiar with the objectivist analysis of altruism and the like.
I am. I read Peikoff's Ominous Parallels cover to cover and in general agreed with his analysis (in spite of his blindness when it comes to Christianity.).

The Objectivists are now taking the 'phobe" page from the GLBT handbook? Ayn would be so proud ...

We are a slave rebellion, friends: an "Underground railroad" of the Human Spirit. This is good, you, like Ayn Rand, at least admit to the existence of a "Human Spirit". That Spirit is Real, It is conscious part of yourself, what Rand would call the "ego". This "spirit" is God's gift to us, it has a free will and a capacity for joy. Learn to listen to it. In the end, it is truly the one thing that no other Human can take from you.

The article says, "Those of us who know a better way MUST stand for it, and MUST reach out to them."
But all I see is a series of insults.

I think the entire article is written to support two theses, 1) that the Believers do not understand Objectivism, 2) that the big government advocates do not understand it. Mr. Emrich uses the remainder of the text as evidence to support his assertion via reference to general attitudinal trends among persons of either a Christian or a statist persuasion when approached with Objectivist ideas.
He is verifying his statements, if you examine the whole text of the work rather than just focus on the thesis snippets.
