Michael Jackson gets weird on 60 Minutes..tonight 7pm CBS LIVE THREAD
Posted on 12/28/2003 3:32:33 PM PST by Hillary's Lovely Legs
By special request, here is your live thread for the Wacky Michael Jackson 60 Minutes interview.
Michael Jackson is talking.
CBS' "60 Minutes" will air an interview with the pop superstar tonight, marking Jackson's first public comments since his Nov. 20 arrest on suspicion of child molestation.
Ed Bradley interviewed Jackson for about 30 minutes on Christmas Day at a hotel in Los Angeles. Bradley had been pursuing an interview with Jackson even before the molestation charges. The CBS newsman traveled to Jackson's Neverland estate last February for an interview, but Jackson got cold feet and canceled it at the last minute.
Jackson, 45, is charged with seven counts of performing lewd or lascivious acts upon a child under 14 and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent. He remains free on $3 million bail.

watched MJ the Drama Queen last night on 60 Minutes, and I think either he is incredibly crafty, I think his marriage and his recent conversion to Islam qualifies as crafty, in the sense that I think MJ is trying to create a lot of noise and distractions. As long as the issue is about Michael Jackson alone, he knows he doesnt have a prayer. He knows hell probably be doing hard time in the slam. But if he brings Islam into this, he turns the whole issue into a race and religion thing. He broadens the war. Hes counting on the media treading carefully around his conversion to Islam. He knows he can play the race card. Hes counting on all kinds of celebrities crawling out of the woodwork to defend him and on Muslims defending a brother against the mans accusations.
Some brother he is!

My conclusion from this interview is that Michael Jackson is not a fit parent. He isn't in control of himself, much less able to father (or mother) his children. He's a hypocrondriac, crybaby, mental case.
Michael Jackson says his Ranch home is such a mess that he doesn't have the heart to return to it to live there anymore...this is a biggie. He will, however, return to Neverland for a visit.
Is he setting the stage for a permanent move out of the country? Where is he going to Live if not at the Ranch? The excuse that Neverland was trashed by the cops, and he can't EVER live there because of it, only makes me think he is going to sell it to pay off his legal fees.
BTW, what does Michael Jackson employ a staff of domestic workers for, if not to clean up the place? (end of rant :~)

MJ: Then one time, I asked to use the restroom. And they said, "Sure, it's right around the corner there." Once I went in the restroom, they locked me in there for like 45 minutes. There was doo doo, feces thrown all over the walls, the floor, the ceiling. And it stunk so bad. Then one of the policemen came by the window. And he made a sarcastic remark. He said, "Smell does it smell good enough for you in there? How do you like the smell? Is it good?" And I just simply said, "It's alright. It's okay." So, I just sat there, and waited. EB: For 45 minutes?
MJ: Yeah, for 45 minutes. About 45 minutes. And then then one cop would come by, and say, "Oh, you'll be out in in a second. You'll be out in a second." Then there would be another 10 minutes added on, then another 15 minutes added on. They did this on purpose.
He must have spent all his time in the bathroom because his bail was paid and he was out of the police station in less than an hour. How many cops in that station use the bathroom with "doo doo" on the floor and walls? Geez Mikey, you're so freakin' wierd and a liar as well.

I believe Jackson. He's weird, but I think he's harmlses. Sorry. I know personally how people will lie for money. It happened to me in a court of law. It's horrible. I truly don't think he did what they say he did.

Yeah, I had read that on the smoking gun. Makes me sick! Sounds like Jackson too, doesn't it? Crying when the kid didn't like the tongue, and saying, "you don't love me!".
But, the thing that strikes me about that deposition is the language used. What kid would use that kind of language? What kid would say,
"another of his young friends"? He would just say, "another kid" or something like that. What kid would use the "m" word for self gratification, and say "climax"?
It was pretty clear that this was written by an adult, yet it is in the first person.
I don't know anything about depositions. Is it okay if they are rewritten by the lawyer to put it in clearer language, as long as the subject signs it as accurate?

only in america can someone who'd benefitted from this society, and looks like a burned-out 60-yr old white woman, yell "racism".

Geragos was with Jackson when he was booked. Indeed, as was a slew of media waiting outside, capturing a smiling Jackson waving to the crowd. Either I heard or read that Geragos actually thanked the police for their hospitality afterwards and that the entire booking was videotaped. Will try and find it.
When MJ was escorted into the station, I noticed he twiced raised his cuffed hands and questioned whether it was for the cameras. I suspect if there was any injury, it was self-inflicted by that maneuver.
Sorry I missed the morning shows and wonder if there were any negative comments about Geragos allowing this "I am a brutalized victim" BS to further muddy the waters.

I saw that "Jesus is my Homeboy" shirt the other day in the mall. I don't remember the name of the store where I saw it, but it was not the kind of store that would carry such a shirt reverently. It really disgusted me... there was just something about it that was sarcastic, but I couldn't really put my finger on it.
I don't say this to say that you shouldn't have bought it, I'm just wondering if you saw it differently then I did. I would like to think that the makers were in fact serious.
To: LJPenney
My son who I bought it for feels the same as you. I felt something when I ought it too but wa happy to see his name in the midst of all the sexual indeundo sayings on the teen/young mens shirts.
I agree now that I think about it.
Oh well it is going back and he wnts to get another shelf for his Coca Cola collection to replace the shirt.

How the heck can a 5' 11" guy weigh 120 lbs? I'd kill to be 120 lbs. Heck - I'd kill to be 5' 11".
I'm five-ten, and I clock in right now around 150 or so. My fighting weight is 130 or thereabouts. When I get down to 125, I look like I could really use a sammich.

Just as I thought. MSNBC read a statement by the Sheriff's office in which they dispute physical abuse charges saying after MJ's booking, Geragos thanked them for their professionalism. MSNBC reported that they video taped him going from hanger to police station but I still can't confirm they video taped the actual booking. Regardless, if what he said happend he and his media hound attorney would have been screaming as they exited the police station. Shame on Geragos for allowing his client to cry police brutality.

I'm sure you noticed Geragos didn't make any allegations of police abuse. Geragos didn't even mention the subject. I think his silence on the subject is significant.

Er - 125 lbs. is a bit "lean" for a 5-10 chick. I haven't weighed 125 lbs. since Men At Work were topping the charts, and I've only been 5-10 in Europe under the metric system.
To: woofie
First he complained that the shoulder was dislocated and he could only bend his arm up until the lower chest with excruciating pains!
Then, when his nose started to itching, he had no difficulties in scrachthing his nose or get the hair out of his eyes. What a "performance!"

Sounds good! It's incredible how hard to find clothes these days. I am an 18 year old girl, and trying to find anything to cover my body is almost impossible. And, it's discouraging to see the way women are advertised in the pictures...
