By special request, here is your live thread for the Wacky Michael Jackson 60 Minutes interview.
Michael Jackson is talking.
CBS' "60 Minutes" will air an interview with the pop superstar tonight, marking Jackson's first public comments since his Nov. 20 arrest on suspicion of child molestation.
Ed Bradley interviewed Jackson for about 30 minutes on Christmas Day at a hotel in Los Angeles. Bradley had been pursuing an interview with Jackson even before the molestation charges. The CBS newsman traveled to Jackson's Neverland estate last February for an interview, but Jackson got cold feet and canceled it at the last minute.
Jackson, 45, is charged with seven counts of performing lewd or lascivious acts upon a child under 14 and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent. He remains free on $3 million bail.
When I hear him talk about his "magic" climbing tree in white he wrote songs like "Man in the Mirror" and "Childhood", I keep wanting to tell him to go back to the tree in which wrote "Thriller" and "Off the Wall".
If I did,I wouldn't admit it.In my youth,if you were caught with one of his tapes, you were sudjected to constant ridicule. My bunch were die hard metal heads.A MJ tape would have become instant target practice.
Did I tell you my four-year-old thinks he's a vampire?
After just being driven dizzy by perusing the sonnets on your home page, I was hoping for something from Me Lady like:
"I wouldst duel with any damn Yankee Fan and doth them in without apology , whilst I admit I indeed loue with gaiety savoring his wretched team's demise into the infernal abyss of the earth." :-)
Of course. That point has been made many times over on the threads discussing Jackson.
My personal fave from the Jackson Five is "Got to Be There".
Watching him unravel and change into this grotesque person who clearly acts inappropriately with young boys (I posit that just the sleepovers he openly admits to is abuse in and of itself) has been an appalling sight to behold over the years.
But I still see nothing wrong with sharing my bed with him."
---- Michael Jackson
Please don't insult panty-wastes! Even wusses don't deserve to be lowered to this freaks level (apologies to freaks).
this interview was even creepier than the press conference with the "clone lady".
And is it just me, or did it look like michael Jackson colored outside the lines when he applied his flaming coral lipstick? Tacky, tacky, tacky, Michael!
Well, having thought of this song I wanted to hear it so I went looking and found it was not the Jackson Five, but actually Michael Jackson's first solo hit in 1972.
Anyway, I still like the song and his voice sounds excellent in it. It really is a shame what has happened to him, but held to account he hopefully will be.
NO.
His believing what he does is not 'molesting' is typical of these perverts. Did you catch his Jack the Ripper reference? In his mind only someone like Jack the Ripper is a molester, he is just showing 'affection'.
What I was attempting to find was the Foxnews poll showing the difference in attitude among black vs. white as to his guilt and innocence and the finding was an eye opener. In an article entitled "Race rift resurfaces with Jackson case", the writer supports the claim saying....
"Many people have made up their minds about whether Michael is innocent or guilty. According to a Fox News poll conducted recently, 35 percent of Americans said they think Michael is guilty, while 22 percent said they think he's innocent. The largest share, 43 percent, said they aren't sure.
What's more intriguing is that white respondents to the poll were twice as likely to say Michael is guilty as innocent (38 percent vs. 17 percent). Forty-four percent of whites said they're unsure. On the other hand, blacks were nearly four times as likely to say Michael is innocent as guilty (58 percent vs. 15 percent). Only 26 percent of blacks said they weren't sure"
The bits I was able to watch (for some reason, my gag reflex prevented me from watching it the full interview & anyway, I was basking in the afterglow of a Packers win and a Vikings loss and we are in the playoffs!!!) was that Bradley, usually a mushy interview, threw MJ softballs, but even then, the interview was too tough for MJ. And did you notice when Geragos came on, he was in full TV makeup? Ya know, he was just sitting around, just being MJ's legal advisor, but when called upon, he lept into action, fully made-up. I don't know what Geragos said because I only lasted about 4 seconds.
What I did figure out is that This Is All About Him. He tried for the pity vote (poor childhood, blah blah blah), he tried for the manipulative fan vote (I love me, they love me), but all in all, It's All About Him. He is the Center of the Universe. (And did he say anything about him having friends?)
BTW, Dateline had a cute interview with parents of infant sextuplets.
LoL
