If you've ever paid attention to the fund raising threads, there are literally thousands of individuals who contribute. Most are not large contributors and to think Jim is going to let the fact that a person makes a donation a factor in banning is ridiculous.

Most of those you think get special treatment go back many years with Jim and only he has the right to decide if they stay or go

True to the founding principles - there is no free lunch. We who enjoy and benefit from this place need to do the right thing and voluntarily help pay the bills.

Do you want pop-ups, and a mess of links on our home page, that could be sources of revenue? I sure do not. Just need more to cough up some cash on a regular basis, and Voila! No more Freepathons.

Does Jim Robinson use securities such as CDs, money market account, etc. to help pay the bills at FR? If he kept each Freepathon going a bit longer than "goal" then use those proceeds to purchase interest-bearing securities instead of new RAID drives, bandwidth, etc., the interest could help reduce (or even eventually eliminate) the length of subsequent fund-raisers.
