No, he's not saying that at all. He's just saying that many people have studied communism/socialism/Marxism in school. Condoleezza Rice majored in Soviet Studies. She is National Security Advisor. He was a pre med student, and majored in Poli Sci, of all things. Knowing what we know about him, it's clear he is influenced by Marxism, so it is not beyond the pale that he took these courses because he was drawn to the ideology. Many were in those days.

I do not want to see a president elected that has shown more than a passing interest in Marxism. It's that simple for me.

When it is part of a life long interest/pattern, I can safely say that he had more than a passing interest in communism.

By your logic, you could say that just because Hillary wrote a thesis on socialism, it does not indicate she favored that system at 22 yrs old.

From what we know about Dean, my point is clear.

Once again, I pointed out that Dean had an interest in Communism in College. That is why someone takes 12-16 credits on Communism at a leftist school in that time period. Dean had no interest in economics. Only politics.
