What penalty could a person dead over two years face?

Whiz on his grave/remains?

When we have time, (Thanksgiving to January 1st is our 'slow' time) I try to answer questions. Sometimes, it's so hectic, your mail or abuse report might get lost. Just ask again. It's not like we are trying to diss anyone. It's just so darn busy sometimes. You all caught me at a good time. Ask away. I'll try as best as I can. We can always defer to Jim..... (cop out..hahaha)

Should he be executed just because he holds different religious beliefs than you? If so, then we atheists had better hide.

Grow up.

Either one of two things. I remember a period of a couple days where the new sign-ups had a glitch with registering, (It was a 'John, this is funky' type thing) that might be the day where everyone was 'activated'. Or, heavy troll activity (doubt it, trolls aren't that coordinated). Hard to say, but if my memory is correct, I'd say the first.

While he may be technically correct

Nope. No way in hell would a (thereotically) captured UBL be tossed into our criminal justice system! That's the Clintonian, pre-9/11 way of dealing with terrorists.

Cool. As long as we have a Q and A session going, and understandably you might not want to answer this one- what consitutes a 'long term freeper'? Are we talking years here- or what? For example, would I be a long term freeper? For the record, I still don't think of myself in this light. Generally, my own cut-off is the '9's. Those freepers with a nine in the third digit of their sign up date are long term for me. Those with a '7' in the fourth digit are "Whoa!" category.

Also, as a side note- I would like to commend you guys (the mods) on the job you do. It cannot be easy. I appreciate your time and the service you provide.

I did notice on the "signups" page that, though there are bumps and "valleys", FR continues to attract more and more people--"slow" signup days are busier than the "busy" days even just from a year ago. Amazing!

I'll take this time to say you guys do an amazing job. Keep up the excellent work, and have a good New Year!

CHEERS TO FR, JIM ROBINSON, AND HIS BAND OF MERRY MODERATORS!

No, Dean's idea is a new one trotted out by Leftists who are afraid to say that they're opposed to the death penalty even for monsters.

It's a lot more insidious than that -- it has more to do with hardcore leftists who believe that we, somehow, got what was coming to us and that offing this guy would be as bad as what he did, which we somehow inspired/compelled him to do anyway.

I'm talking about people who live and/or work(ed) in Manhattan on 9/11/01. These are people from my old office who were in a panic that morning because 2 execs from our office were on planes and I was M.I.A. (I live very near the WTC site).

You are a long timer in mod standards. You're here almost three years and have a ton of posts. In our terms, a newbie cut off might be 6 months to a year depending on the type of post, how many, content, etc. There aren't any hard rules, because, they all get broken anyway. So, just don't go posting no trash, and you'll be fine. Dean in 04!

Now this is me, and I'm not a mod, but I consider anyone from before the 2000 election to be a "long-timer."

It seems that the "probationary period" lasts about six months---you know, the time when you can expect to have your "member since" date thrown in your face.

I think you and I are just "middle children."

He is fun to cover since he IS such a babbling idiot and is so histronic -- and he is also anointed by the press (much like Klintoon was). This, of course, works in our favor since he will hang himself by his tongue.

No, it really doesn't work in our favor, at least not before No-Neck Howie has the nomination. I often wake up in the middle of the night, in cold sweats, fearing that he's going to talk his way out of the nomination.

Thanks all for your kudos. About 3 years ago, Jim had to leave on a trip to Texas, and all hell broke loose on FR, with trolls and such. It was then, Jim was convinced by a couple of his good friends he needed help. Everything we do, Jim sees. We do it to give him time to eat Christmas dinner, to freep Gary Condit, or whatever they do in Fresno. It's impossible for one guy to manage FR anymore. His site has morphed beyond his wildest dreams. Jim is in contact with us every day, and all actions we do are reviewed by him. He overrides us, he agrees with us, he bawls us out. But, he always has sage rulings, and in the end, we always agree with his decisions.

Might as well start building up counter points to the Clark Rodham campaign.

Since PS's Freepday is not even two months before mine, I guess I'm a long-timer too. I know I fricken live here.

One more question (hoooweee, I'm on a roll! ;-) Lets say, you were a long term freeper (and I would point out that I am here closer to two years than three- but anyway) and you started getting in trouble. Do the mods send a warning post to the offender at all before zotting him?

To take this a bit further, if you answer yes to that, could we- the Freepership at large- assume that once someone who has been around for a while and gets- you know, zotted- can we assume that they were warned beforehand and just ignored the warnings? That would ease my mind considerably about some things. It would be nice to think that the zot feature wasn't a sword of Damocles hanging over you head. I would feel better knowing there was some built in 'warning zot' for long termers before the actual zot if you ken what I mean ;-)

Dean probably thinks the Taliban should try Osama.

Nah. He's one of those pseudointellectuals spouting claptrap about the International Criminal Court, or the World Court. The metrosexual poseurs who are so eager to hand over our sovereignty, defense and treasury to the UN.
