The idiots on the jury wimped out because he's a "young boy". That simple.
Just damn.
If you want on the new list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...

Well, that's what I figured, but I'm still a bit perturbed. Even so, the thought of him rotting in prison for the next 70 years or so gives me some satisfaction. And when they say LIFE, they had better mean life!

What a day for shame for America. I am so nervous about this being put in the Arabic press, and what a message it sends to the terrorists and islamofascists out there.
Civilization to Terrorists: "We know you are here in the USA. We're going to get you and "Bring You To Justice"."
Civilization to Terrorists: "See, we just raised the nationwide terrorist threat level to ORANGE. Better not tryyyyy anything."
Civilization to Terrorists: "Oh, by the way, did you see where we just refused to execute a terrorist from a foreign country roaming around in the US with his Islamofascist handler, who smoked an FBI agent and held the National Capital Region hostage to paralyzing terror for four weeks?!"
I swear, we are going to be a joke before the whole terrorist community. This sends a very dangerous message. DAMN it!
Well, MERRY CHRISTMAS JURORS. Hope you can sleep well now. You selfish, no good......_________ (better stop here!)

I would have LOVED to have heard THAT rant.......LOL. It would have been fun. From personal experience I've learned that judges don't like to be questioned!! I was up for jury selection once and the judge more or less told us if he didn't like our verdict he would change it. I raised my hand and inquired why he was wasting our time and tax dollars then???? Needless to say, I wasn't selected! Come to think of it, I never was asked again for jury duty! I'm no longer living in that county!! In my second life I want to be a judge on the Supreme Court - I'd be every liberals worst nightmare!

Why can 1 juror negate the verdict of 11? Maybe majority should rule. Wouldnt the defense rig every jury with at least one juror against the DP thus causing a hung jury and LIP?
Just venting really, but 1 juror thowing a wrench into the 11 doesnt seem right.
To: evad
Yup..
Send him to Bama Yeah, but I bet that if he gets the death penalty there, that sentence will be carried after his sentence in Virginia is complete...
To: Frank_Discussion
Why?.....because they felt "SORRY"for the little BASTARD in his "poor upbringing"!!

*Calming Down* I thought you were on my case about laughing at something during this travesty. Certainly, I am not less appalled by this result.

In VA is the jury recommendation binding or can the judge overrule it and impose the death sentence? (Sorry if this was addressed in a prior post).

Oh, the humanity. Not only is he going to prison for the rest of his life -- he has to pay a
$200,000 fine as well!
