Weren't you in South Carolina a couple of years ago? If so, do you remember how everyone was? Meeting faces that go with the names of the people that you have seen here on line for years...

It's like a reunion almost. Always fun and never at a loss for words with anyone!

You will have a wonderful time!

Weren't you in South Carolina a couple of years ago?

Actually I was in SC (Myrtle Beach) just this past weekend. We had a blast.

Must have been another FReeper you're thinking of. I know there is a mykidsmom because I tried for that name and it was taken. I've never seen her post though.

I've been to a lot of NC FReeper activities and have always had a great time. My hubby has been to several things too. He's just quieter than I am. We will have a great time I'm sure.

Is your tagline correct? Are you planning on coming up here to Fayetteville on the 20th? If so then I'll get to meet you that day. Looking forward to it.

Yes, I intend to be in Fayetteville to go up against THOSE people.

I have been with the DC crowd before against these same people and I really resent what they stand for and their actions.

Tell him not to worry, my husband is a non-freeper also, and still had a great time last year. It's just nice to know a group of people on board, and hang out with them sometimes, but it's not "all-FR-all-the-time" It's just a group of people with something in common, sort of a conversation starter. Then it takes off from there.

And, almost a year after the cruise, my husbad is still not a FReeper, he's a computer-phobic, but I tell him what's going on to keep him informed. What a good wife I am!!

As much fun as our cruises are, we always have one serious FRN activism meeting during an "at sea" morning.

Diotima, chairman of the Free Republic Network, organizes these programs every year and they're always a highlight of the voyage.

We meet in a private salon. Over hot coffee and with a view of the waves rolling past the room's windows, we have short informational speeches, perhaps a video, and certainly, lots of open discussion and exchanges of ideas among freepers from all corners of our country.

There's no doubt that the topics this year will include the looming presidential race, the Dimocrat convention, Kerry, the Hildabeest, constitutional amendments, immigration policies, you name it. All your favorite subjects and people, hah!

We expect Bob J will speak on FRN's great new internet radio adventure, RightTalk.

Whatever the topics, we'll be on the cutting edge. What a terrific opportunity to talk politics with knowledgeable folks other than your liberal in-laws.

Everyone participates in the meeting's discussion period. If you want to take the mike and expound, it's all yours. Last cruise, conversations continued at various tables even though the program was long over. No one wanted to leave, but the stewards were removing the cups and the Lido deck lunch buffet was beckoning.

No decision has been made for a cruise next year. As one would suspect, a lot depends on the interest in this year's cruise. In short, it's not cast in iron that there'll be a freeper cruise next spring.

For those who have always wanted to experience a delicious cruise at least once in a lifetime, I strongly suggest booking for FReeps Ahoy 3 this week.

Fares on all cruise lines will rise rather sharply next year. In fact, many already have risen considerably in the past couple weeks. People are getting back to tourism again after the drought following 9/11. Demand is high for cruises because they're virtually free from planning-headaches and are a safe, secure and comparatively reasonable vacation venue for those who want to travel somewhere attractive other than a week at the liberal in-laws house in Peoria.

The pent-up demand is setting the higher rates. Our group-rates obtained in November are locked in for our late-May cruise and that's a blessing. You'll know right now what your week's vacation will cost and that's a blessing also.

Gazoo, we'd be so happy if you sign on for this fantastic voyage. It'll be a pleasure to meet you up close and personal. And you'll get to meet and schmooz with the freepers behind many of the popular screen names you've seen for so long on FR.

Mr. JimRob was invited on this cruise but sent his regrets and thanks. His schedule precludes it this year. He wishes us a heartfelt bon voyage.

As policy, the cruise committee never lists who's going on cruises. Cruisers generally announce on the thread if they're going and we encourage them to do so. But it's their choice. However, surfing the cruise thread will pretty much show you most of the famous, witty and good lookin' freepers who have signed up so far.

I see you're from a northern state. Brrrr. I'm from Illinois and I ought to know. Sign on for this cruise and sail away on the Zuiderdam for tropical sun, balmy starlit evening breezes, warm azure waters, hot gourmet meals.....and enjoy Hellfire Coconut Mango Rum Belly Blasters......while you and new freeper friends soak up the last of the setting-sun's rays high on a lofty deck by the crow's nest.

Whew! How's them apples....er, mangos.....?

A friend of mine at work goes on and on about how great Free Republic is. I am so glad I finally found you! This upcoming election is pivotol and I will be spending the afternoon reading Free Republic as I am unsure what party affiliation I am. So I need to delve in the issues.

Does this newsgroup support any particular candidate solely? So many issues so little time!

I am looking into it sounds very inviting. I was so looking forward to meeting everyone (am sorry Mr. Robinson can't be there) as I lurked a little before I had the nerve to post.

Where can I donate to this fantastic site if funds become available in the future?

Welcome to Free Republic!

This upcoming election is pivotol and I will be spending the afternoon reading Free Republic as I am unsure what party affiliation I am. So I need to delve in the issues.

As long as you are conservative in your political leanings, you should fit in fine here.

Does this newsgroup support any particular candidate solely? So many issues so little time!

This site is mostly pro-Bush, but, like I said, as long as you don't support someone like John F. Kerry or Ralph Nader, you'll be fine. hehe

Enjoy your stay! Plenty to read and learn here!

I'm sure you'll note that people here do have favorites. I would encourage you to look around and see if you like or dislike the opinions expressed here. Frankly I like the idea that people of all stripes could come here and discuss the issues without going crazy at each other. Only through reasoned discussion can you delve into the issues and get a real feel for what is reasoned after hearing both sides.

Welcome to the forum. Best of luck to you.

P.S. Don't be thin skinned if someone disagrees stridently with you. People disagree with me quite often, yet I stand my ground and express my opinions.
