Good news for the computer junkies on this cruise. Each cabin on the Zuiderdam has wireless internet access. You can hook up your lap top with a special adapter that's available on board.

There are usage fees. You can purchase from a variety of plans and the fees will be charged to your shipboard account.

You can purchase a wireless card for your laptop at $10 per day. Or buy 100 minutes for $55. Or, if you're hopelessly addicted, you can buy 250 minutes for $100.

At last we're on a ship where anyone in our group can freep in his/hers own digs, not in some internet cafe at the other end of the vessel.

For budget-conscious freepers (aren't we all?), Holland America's well-known "tipping not required" policy is a nice boon.

See reply # 73 on the Bahama Mama Q & A thread for more info on cruise tipping.

WE HAVE A WINNER FOR THE ZUIDERDAM GIFT CERTIFICATE!

The game was afoot tonight and the prize was bagged by Sherlock's older brother, our own freeper, MYCROFT HOLMES!

Congratulations, my dear fellow. We had the privilege of meeting you and the lovely Marissa on FReeps Ahoy 2 last year. What a wonderful and fun freeper couple you are. We're all so happy you'll be aboard again this year.

Enjoy your gift Zuiderdam certificate. You'll receive it on the ship. Watch out, though.....we'll be all nosing around to see what you buy with it in the ship's shops!

Hah, you won't believe this, but I was a few minutes late posting the winner's name because I was watching the biography of your hometown Indiana boy, John Mellencamp, right up till 9 PM.

I almost flipped when they showed a shot of the town's main drag where John hung out and where I had lunch the day before I visited with you some months ago.

"He was born in a small town....probably die in the same samll town.....To quote his song "Small Town".

John has issues, but he's been very good to this area. Giving back. It's not uncommon to walk in and see him having a burger and fries in his old stompin ground. For years he bought all his cloths (jeans) locally. Family is still very much a part of the community.

Wooo Hooo!

My little kung-fu shopper will be delighted. Marisa takes special delight in free stuff and is hardwired to respond to "on sale".

We are very much looking forward to the cruise. We had more fun last year than should be legal for two people. This year should be even better as we know not to use the SPF 90 sun block.

Thanks to the Cruise Committee for the Prize and all your fine work getting us together for the Big Fun. Regards.

Three more gift certificates will be awarded to lucky cruise registrants as we move along toward embarkation.

Except for the winners, names of everyone registered will be carried forward to each drawing along with the names of new freeper signer-uppers.

So if you're thinking of going on this fabulous tropical vacation, the sooner you register the better. It will improve your chances of winning fifty smackeroos to spend any way you want in the ship's fine jewelry, perfume, gifts and clothing shops on board.

Phone Wanda right away and get your deposit down by credit card. No other payment till March! Her toll-free number is 1-800-890-7583 (Pacific time zone).

Plus, if you phone now, you'll get first choice of a nice cabin near other freepers.

Freeper cabin-hopping and balcony-yakking is so darn much fun!

Hi Leni...

I thought I'd remind folks what some of the least expensive staterooms looked like.
Frankly, they're pretty nice. Most people won't spend a whole lot of time sitting
around their stateroom.  But if they decide to for a few hours, they'll certainly be comfortable.

Large Outside Stateroom

Large Outside Staterooms include two lower beds convertible to a queen-size bed, bathtub & shower.

Approximately 194 square feet

Category C, D, E, F, G, H

Large Inside Stateroom

Large inside Staterooms include two lower beds convertible to a queen-size bed, shower.

Approximately 185 square feet

Category I, J, K, L, M, N

All staterooms are equipped with television, telephone and multi-channel music. Not all staterooms within each category have the same furniture configuration and/or facilities. Room measurements are approximate and some rooms in the same category may vary in size.

The Queen Mary 2 will be berthing in the Fort Lauderdale port we're embarking and disembarking from, Port Everglades.

The QM2 will be running Caribbean cruises from our port. There's every chance we may get a view of her from our ship, the Zuiderdam.

Wouldn't that be something? From all accounts, the sight of the huge Queen Mary takes everyone's breath away. Bring your cameras and videocams!

Our mermaid travel gal, Wanda, is waiting to take your registration for this freep adventure. She'll work patiently with you according to your budget needs. Phone her right now at 1-800-890-7583 to make your deposit on a lovely cabin.

GREAT NEWS, FREEPER CRUISERS !

Holland/American is giving a Shipboard Credit to all freepers who have signed on for this voyage.

Our travel agent, Wanda, has already applied the credit to all reservations booked to date.

Freepers in Balcony cabins will have $50 per person waiting for them when they embark. Interior or Oceanview cabins receive $25 per person.

The usual caveat from the cruise line applies...."subject to change and based on availability".

This means the promotion offer can be withdrawn at any time. So it will pay you to get your down payment in with Wanda right away. Phone her now at 1-800-890-7583 (Pacific time zone).

The money is deposited in your on-board account and can be applied to anything you charge to your cabin - drinks, photography, shore tours, gift shop purchases, anything!

In a couple weeks we'll have another drawing here for a $50 Zuiderdam gift certificate. By registering now, you're eligible for this certificate also, and up to $100 in on-board credit.

May the luck o'the Dutch be with ya!
