Steal the valuables the verb steal should only be used in the third person. In the first person you should use the verb liberate or procure.

Hmm...
True, true..
But on the fly, that's what popped into my head.
*chuckle*
They didn't send the thing to the bottom where it belongs?

Hey! A two-fer.
A thread that will interest both the anti-terrorism and WOD crowd.

A boat that has been seized by the U.S. Navy is seen in the Persian Gulf Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003. The U.S. navy guided missile destroyer USS Decatur intercepted the 40-foot boat on Monday. Aboard were a dozen men, three of them believed to have al-Qaida connections, and 3,780 pounds of hashish, the Navy said Friday. (AP Photo/Michael Sandberg, U.S. Navy).

COOL!!
My friend is on the Decatur, and he's on the boarding team too! He used to tell me stories about how he'd train on these old freighters against ex-SEAL instructors...good stuff

Nice pic, motorized dhows are prevalent in the coastal trade in the Arabian Sea, Red Sea, and along the East African coast--exactly what was used to move people & stuff from Yemen to Somalia in 93--hopefully something which is today being monitored & as necessary interdicted by our guys in Djibouti.
Be interesting to find out why they picked out this particular boat to search.

28gr.x16oz.x3780lbs.=$16,934,400.00 @ $10 a gram. (10 bucks a gram is cheap) even more than they thought.

Good work GW and our Armed Forces!
Now, I would lash them all to the gunwhale and pull the scuttle plugs. As the ship sinks, we could hang out with 'em for a while to assess their willingness to talk.

Al-Quida or has Rush found a new supplier?
To: Coop
Uh, you mean the drug war! Do you think these guys were on an Al-Qaida list? Were these guys moonlighting to finance their bombing day job?

Where would drugs on this type of boat in the Persian gulf be headed? How sea worthy is a dhow (and what is a dhow, long range or short range)?

More good news regarding the war on terror. Uh, you mean the drug war!
Uh, no, but thank you for the assistance.
The investigation which followed found clear ties between the drugs and al-Qaida, the military said.
