A boat that has been seized by the U.S. Navy is seen in the Persian Gulf Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003. The U.S. navy guided missile destroyer USS Decatur intercepted the 40-foot boat on Monday. Aboard were a dozen men, three of them believed to have al-Qaida connections, and 3,780 pounds of hashish, the Navy said Friday. (AP Photo/Michael Sandberg, U.S. Navy).

Nice pic, motorized dhows are prevalent in the coastal trade in the Arabian Sea, Red Sea, and along the East African coast--exactly what was used to move people & stuff from Yemen to Somalia in 93--hopefully something which is today being monitored & as necessary interdicted by our guys in Djibouti.

Be interesting to find out why they picked out this particular boat to search.
