A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Only 9 Shopping Days 'til Christmas
Nine more days 'til Christmas. Got your shopping done yet? I finished mine Friday. It was so much fun. Come along with me as I leisurely strolled through the mall in my search to find the perfect gifts for my loved ones. It's a scene the rest of you women know and love every year at this time.
For the men, we know you only go to one store ... one time ... on Christmas Eve ... and purchase one gift for your wife or girlfriend. You just don't realize how much fun you miss by letting us take care of everything else. We get to do the shopping, the baking, the decorating (ok, so you Griswald types hang the lights outside), send the Christmas cards, plan the parties, and cook the dinner.
"I'd much rather shop for the man who has everything than the woman who returns everything."
Ready? Let's go! Really getting into the spirit of things. This is so much fun - see what you're missing, Guys?
Fun! Fun! Fun!
Gosh, this is fun. Look at all the smiling faces all around. It's a special time of year.
Shop! Shop! Shop!
Ahhhhhh, Christmas smells, Christmas music....Let's see...I need a 2003 Christmas ornament for my tree. Will just duck in here for a sec.
Fun! Shop!
My mother-in-law likes stuff like this. Maybe my sister-in-law, too. I'm really checking off that list!
Oh, yeah...Fun
This looks like a good place to find my Sistahs' gifts. One in purple, one in aqua, one in red, one green, and one yellow. :)
Are we almost done yet?
Well, that was fun. I hope I didn't forget anyone. I'm NOT coming back. My feet hurt. My arms ache. I want to go home. I should have let them giftwrap for me - now I have to go home and wrap the presents. I wonder if I have wrapping paper? scotch tape? ribbon?
I hope I never see this mall again.
Tree decorated, lights up, baking done, silver polished, Christmas gifts all wrapped. Only 9 days 'til Christmas.

Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.
To keep growing in Christ, keep going to church.

Why Go To Church?
Read: Hebrews 10:19-25
Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. Hebrews 10:24-25
Bible In One Year: Hebrews 8-10
In a letter to the editor of a British newspaper, a man complained that he saw no sense in going to church every Sunday. "I have been attending services quite regularly for the past 30 years," he wrote, "and during that time . . . I have listened to no less than 3,000 sermons. But, to my consternation, I discover I cannot remember a single one of them. I wonder if a minister's time might be more profitably spent on something else."
That letter sparked many responses. One, however, was the clincher: "I have been married for 30 years. During that time I have eaten 32,850 mealsmostly of my wife's cooking. Suddenly I have discovered that I cannot remember the menu of a single meal. And yet, I received nourishment from every one of them. I have the distinct impression that without them I would have starved to death long ago."
The Bible assumes the importance of going to church, and the only admonition to do so appears in the context of the danger of forsaking the practice (Hebrews 10:25). We need help to keep our faith and hope from wavering (v.23), and to love and do good works (v.24). Just as physical food keeps us alive and strong, so also the spiritual nourishment of teaching and fellowship are necessary for our survival. Dennis De Haan
I love to worship with others,
To read the Bible and pray.
To sing the songs about Jesus,
And learn to walk in His way. Hess
To keep growing in Christ, keep going to church.

Good morning, Rus. I needed that coffee, and your spiritual message....it's hard not to stress during this time of the year. Today's thread should be taken lightly - next week's Christmas thread will be more serious. :)
